Now Hear This, Now Hear This.......American Conservatives Speaking
Col. Riley's Corner ^ | Col. Riley

TO: John McCain and the RNC,

Your latest solicitation for our money has a lot of “I want…” statements in it. Merely saying “I want…” does NOT impress me and won’t get the job done!

I would like to hear some “I WILL…” AND MEAN IT !

If you want our money, and our vote, then “WE WANT” some ACTION from the RNC and John McCain!

GET YOU HEAD OUT AND PAY ATTENTION…. WE ARE SERIOUS AMERICAN CITIZENS THAT VOTE!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that we WILL DRILL HERE, DRILL NOW, AND PAY LESS! The stupidity of sitting on trillions of cubic feet of our own natural gas and billions of barrels of our own oil while begging Arabs for more is beyond insanity! We want refineries, clean safe nuclear power, and STOP BURNING OUR FOOD FOR FUEL!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that the borders WILL be closed and NO illegals will get ANY amnesty or special consideration ahead of those waiting to enter legally!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that employers of illegals will be prosecuted. The illegals will go home on their own… and real wages for real Americans will rise!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that federal funding will be withdrawn from “sanctuary cities”…. immediately! I obey the federal laws… so should city officials… or defund and prosecute them.

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that ONLY strict constructionist federal and Supreme Court judges will be nominated, AND that they will be supported, in hearings! Abiding by our Constitution has worked to get us here… it will work for our future!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that NO new taxes bills will be signed!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that there will be NO carbon tax schemes and NO so called “global warming” or “climate change” agreements catering to the fear mongers claiming “man-made” climate change. The world climate has ALWAYS changed and puny mankind cannot control it! The facts, evidence, and tens of thousands of scientists, say it is a pure hoax, a lie, and a grab for money and power and it MUST be stopped before it destroys our economy!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that ALL earmarks will be vetoed!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that Social Security will be reformed and made solvent to end the illegal Ponzi scheme that will devastate the retirement of so many!

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment to oppose all forms of abortion, oppose same sex marriage, oppose civil unions of same sex couples, and support marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment to retain “under God” in our pledge of allegiance, our coins to retain “in God we trust”, and English declared the official single language of the United States.

We WANT an absolute, unequivocal, commitment that if United States security is threatened, before American military forces are committed, Congress will issue a “declaration of war”.

Newt is offering you a “Platform For America”! READ IT!

http://www.americansolutions.com/actioncenter/petitions/?Guid=bf4a5257-45e3-4a94-97fc-57e2d7ecb6f9

It is a comprehensive list of what the overwhelming majority of “Americans” have said we want! If you are smart, you will use it in a Republican Platform! It is a winner for you politicians and for we American citizens!

Also check out http://buchanan.org:80/blog/2008/06/pjb-bush’s-black-list/

When John McCain, and the RNC, make these strong commitments, we will again support Republicans with OUR money and our vote!

But, NOT UNTIL THEN… IT IS TOO IMPORTANT!!!

DO YOU HEAR US…. OR ARE YOU NOW DEAF TO REAL AMERICAN VALUES?

Yes this does sound heretical but perhaps helpful to upward mobility to put wealth back into general circulation.

The "Death Tax" does do this, somewhat. I used to be under the assumption that the death tax was inherently wrong, but now I see that was an incorrect assumption.

It can be wrong, if it is employed merely as an additional revenue generating tool, or as a way of controlling social policy, etc.

But if we view tax as something close to merely a reflection of the benefits gained by an individual by having the government versus anarchy, then it can be seen that those with wealth benefit far more from the institution of government than someone who does not. (An anarchic system would be very vulnerable to brigandry, and there's no way the stock market could exist to allow individuals so many paper billions of dollars.)

Real Property taxes are another, yet they hit only one segment of wealth.

It's a difficult question, but I believe it is important to understanding the wealth gap--a phenomenon that has brought about the downfall of civilizations throughout history, even today. I believe we have restistances to its effects, but we are not immune.

This guy is traditional conservative through and through. I thought I could hear Barry Goldwater or Ronald Reagan speaking through Barr.

It's a shame that so many so-called conservatives have forgotten that voice.

I don't know that Baldwin has that same understanding or experience. Besides, the Constitution Party jumped the shark a while ago. I say this as a one-time ardent supporter.

Your use of the word “we” is curious. Do you believe the collective should make these decisions or should the owners of the resources be free to trade with the consumers of the resources?

Changing the subject, eh? I thought we were talking about public, not private.

I thought we had exhausted the subject, just like the soil if you mine it growing crops.

And no, the subject was using oil inside the borders of the US. Much if which is privately owned. And the rest which is currently owned by the collective should be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

You dragged the conversation into agriculture but ignored the rest of my post. Should we conserve our reserves of iron ore and let others deplete theirs first? Or copper, or uranium? All the minerals we mine inside our borders?

Just get some foil and make a new hat. That is what I do when I lose mine.

Already finished ;)

Hope that more people will read your post today--probably when they should be working--Col. Riley's site is a very interesting visit.

Cheers!

Thanks for the exchange. I wish someone with your thoughts were running for President. The growing wealth/income disparity could be just the slow boiling water for the US. Some think we should be a pure textbook economy but we are a political economy with the overtones that voting implies. A gated community around dollars has joined the gated community around real estate awaiting the eventual surge of the serfs. But to what end considering the liquidity of $? The balance of government conceived by the Founding Fathers needs to be applied to the economic world for the long range good of America.

McBush and Hussein Obama are of one voice on amnesty for illegals. Search for “SECRETS in McCAIN’s AMNESTY bill” on Y**Tube for a start...
