Carjacker Goes for Chevy's
San Leandro Times (California) ^ | June 4, 2008 | Julie Barsamian

Posted on 06/06/2008 1:04:33 PM PDT by wac3rd

"Police are still searching for a suspect in a carjacking at Chevy’s restaurant at Bayfair Center on May 22, who used a gun to steal a man’s car, a Chevy."

The victim of the carjacking says he was walking into Chevy’s (the Mexican restaurant chain) to pick up food when he saw the suspect’s vehicle circling the parking lot. He came out of the restaurant and got into his 2007 Chevy Impala.

The suspect’s vehicle blocked him into his parking space before approaching him and told him to get out of the car, according to police.

“Initially I thought I saw three people in the car, but only one man got out with the gun,” says the victim. “I was very surprised it happened, but now I know I need to be much more aware of my surroundings and the people around me.”

The victim said his car was returned to him the next morning but not before CHP engaged in a high speed chase over the Bay Bridge.

Police say the chase ended in a crash at Hunters Point in San Francisco where they were able to detain a man, although they are not sure of his involvement in the crime. According to San Leandro Lt. Tom Overton, police also found two Tech 9 machine guns in the car.

I realize this is clearly not "national news" and merely a recap of a small Bay Area community's recent carjacking. Please note the descriptions (lack thereof) of the perpetrators that this newspaper seem to regularly exclude.

It is just another symptom of the PC-infected press that would rather have its citizens hurt or killed because of their willing negligence of facts. The paper could easily provide descriptions of the suspects, but are willing to suffer tragedy after tragedy on the altar of Liberalism/political correctness/Lies vs. telling the truth and warning the legal, taxpaying citizens of the country.

At some point, we, the Citizens whose ancestors fought, struggled and died for this great land need to reclaim it from Ted Kennedy, Hugo Chavez, La Raza, Susan Sarandon, Barbara Boxer, Barack Hussein Obama, Kevin Spacey, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Harry Reid, Carl Levin, Tim Robbins, Danny Glover, Chris Matthews, George Soros, Angelina Jolie, Diane Feinstein, Hillary Clinton or any other Left Wing or RINO you can think of.

The press irresponsibility is legendary, a passive-agressive way of pushing a Marxist agenda down the public's throats.

We need to act responsibly, and vote with our ballots, dollars, letters and fight to protect our families from dangers the "free" press is unwilling to inform us about.

And it is politically incorrect to give a description of the suspect.

I’ve seen it even happen when a suspect is “at large” and the radio news announcers are saying that the police want your help to catch him.

In lieu of giving a description, they say “log into our website for a police sketch”.

They will say that it IS a male. So of course be suspicious of all MEN. That’s okay. “Men are evil”. Slur us all.

There is no need to describe the suspect(s) since he/they didn’t look like Timothy McVeigh.

I was under the impression that few, if any, were ever converted to full auto. Without being full auto they’re just pistols with big magazines.

After the UAW got into their full swing in the 60s, it’s not like the RWD barges were any good either...

It is notable that an armed citizen might well have had a good opportunity to prevent this crime, and that it is a political impossibility for a citizen to be legally armed in San Francisco.

One of the things I like about my Glock 27 is that my Glock 23 magazines will work in it.
