He Won, but He Lost His Magic Touch

And what they found was an arrogant, snide, and impatient individual who has made a life of rubbing shoulders with the most virulent anti-Americans and marxists in this country...and then forgewtting that he knew them or who they were.
His own words about the bitter, rural, religious folks clinging to their guns and religion made it clear that he himself is one of them.
Quite frankly, IMHO, Barack Hussein Obama is the apex of the hate-America, domestic enemy in this country. His election as president would be the greatest coup any enemy has ever scored against this country and could easily lead to the worst, horrific disaster in our nation's history.

You do realize of course that those are his better points?
he’s going to make the ocean subside.
In actuality, he was by far the most compelling Tele-Prompter reader.
When he was not reading or reciting other people's written words, he was a walking gaffe machine.
McCain will wipe the floor with him.
Not too sure....he gets recored breaking turnout...I mean arenas are selling out! McCain?? He wants town halls...
Give me a break. He is just telling Obama what to do next.
McCain's strength - Obama's weakness.
Just think about what he's saying and try to find the details or substance and his droning quickly turns from being compelling to being the typical political Muzak.
Berry has a problem with voters who refuse to vote for him after they find out more about him. His numbers will keep falling from now until the election in November. It says a lot about Berry when he can’t win a majority of votes even with the support of the huge media machine working for him.
right, debates and town hall meetings where he can’t give a rehearsed speech and has to have answers to real questions will further expose him for the naive, pathetic loser he really is. Ever notice how he stutters when he is on the hot seat about something? Not the same wonderful orator he is when he has complete control of the situation.
Bring on debates and town hall meetings!
How many Democrats can you get to a rally in the middle of a work day?
Tens of thousands of them. Democrats, unlike Republicans, tend to have a lot of free time on their hands.
In 1972, George McGovern drew crowds of over 60,000 several times. The effect of a speech to such a crowd is to preach to the choir that has gathered at the stadium from all four corners of the state.
The real audience of millions will be the TV audience and that is why McCain wants the town-hall meeting format.
Obama does great when he is reading words off of a Tele-Prompter but crashes and burns when he has to think on his feet.
McCain does well with a microphone in hand ad libbing to a town-hall crowd but looks artificial reading off of a Tele-Prompter.
Obama wants arenas where he can be worshipped from afar, not questioned. At least McCain (and I am NO fan, though I’m holding my nose and voting for him-Obama-YOU did this, and I’m not the only one !) is willing to appear in small arenas where he can questioned and even called out by hecklers. A man with substance, even if I disagree with a LOT of his substance, as opposed to a balloon which is filled with the helium of the “true believer’s” own projections, because there’s nothing solid that he can openly present to America. He’s not quite an empty suit, because he does indeed have a stealth agenda-— anti-American and racist.
Obama is an awful speaker and obvious snake oil salesman. How stupid can people be? The starry eyed Obama fans are empty vessels and he fills them up
Obama does well when all he has to do is stand before his worshippers and appear “saintly”, outstretched arms, halo, and all. Nothing that will break the “heavenly” aura of his godhood is allowed. It would absurd, if it wasn’t so scary that grown, supposedly rational Americans could act this way.
All the details and substance are from some wierd inverted left-field reality.
I am still getting used to the idea that a man who brought his children to Trinity is a serious contender for president. It's surreal.
That raises an interesting historical question (is it true that Reagan benefited from this?), but it's probably just Broder's way of telling Obama not to pick Hillary as his running mate.
In the last weeks, Obama visibly retreated. It is rare that you see a presidential candidate -- let alone a man headed for nomination -- back off from the contest to the extent Obama did. Instead of the frenetic schedule he had kept for months, Obama made a minimum of appearances in the final states, as if relying on his momentum to carry him through. That he lost all but one of the major tests was no surprise.
That is also interesting. Could it be that Obama has a "glass jaw" like people were saying about Romney? Is he maybe not up to the fight?
Obama's great advantage in the primaries was his apparent youthfulness. Maybe a certain narcissism and tendency to withdraw when things get tough goes with that, as it does with some in the younger generation.
***Give me a break. He is just telling Obama what to do next.***
Yep!
