There are lots of conservatives in California, just not in public office.

McClintock is a good man. I send him a contribution from time to time--and I live in Texas. I encourage other freepers to do the same thing--doesn't have to be a lot, just a few dollars to help him build up a war chest for when he has to run again.

I think this guy would make a tremendous VP--but then, no one has asked my opinion about that--LOL!

McClintock is a good principled conservative. Osi ran a sleazy campaign against him, lining up Rinos like Pete Wilson to try to savage McClintock. I remember the gubenatorial debate after the recall. McClintock won it hands down. Arnold was just trading insults with Ariana Huffington and Cruz Bustamonte was repeating slogans. McClintock came across as a statesman and would have made the better governor.

There is absolutely no Rino in McClintock. This is what can happen when true conservatives are fearless when expressing their views and backing those views with facts.

I know that Charley Brown is claiming a lead at the polls, but are there any real numbers available?

What's unfortunate is that he did not go to congress a lot earlier. IIRC, the story was that he had a chance to run in a House district in SoCal, but declined when Bob Hope's son Tony entered the race. Hope lost the primiary anyway to Elton Gallegly.

In any event, I'm very happy to see Tom win this primary. It's good for the Republican party and good for America.

Rush mentioned that McClintock was one of two wins for the Club for Growth. The other was a Senate nomination, in AZ or thereabouts . . .

For the record, I will NOT be voting for John McCain come November. But, I will ABSOLUTELY be in the vooting booth pulling the lever, or touching the screen for Tom McClintock here in the 4th Congressional District of California.

Hopefully, there will be at least one other conservative on the ballot at the federal or state level that I can support ...but I'm not holding my breath.

Tom McClintock has more experience fighting uphill battles against hopeless odds than just about any other conservative Republican. He will be worth his weight in gold in the House.

Open honest principled conservativism will win the day every single time. This is why the republocans are getting destroyed lately, this is why we love Sarah Palin up here, and why there has been so much buzz about her for VP.

One of the most gratifying aspects of this election was the way Ose went down. I don’t think I saw a single television ad sponsored by Tom McClintock. What I DID see was Ose’s smear campaign. In the end, the voters deserve the credit - they knew Tom McClintock for the true conservative he is, and sent Ose back to whatever circle of Hell he crawled out from.

Rush is right, change the party from the bottom up.

I hope that by the 2010 election we conservatives can show the McCaniacs that we are no longer willing to sit in a dark cave like voting mushrooms and accept the RHINO manure that the liberal Republicans in leadership keep shoveling down our throats.

Hopefully that will be the last we hear of Oses and Congress together. When Doug Ose retired from the district he used to represent he got his sister to run and despite taping into the family fortune she lost badly and now brother Doug blew another $3 mm. Hee, hee!!!
