Of course this won’t withstand judicial scrutiny.

But here is the more important question: why are the people who come up with these ideas in key government positions? Do they not have even the slightest iota of understanding of what it means to be in America?

“Legitimate reason” for being in a place? Because I damn well want to be here or there. Who the hell do they think they are even considering asking the question?

Absolute abuse of power by brain-damaged control freaks.

I had occasion not long ago to have a little chat with Ms Police Chief. I was with a group of Freepers and SASTERS in front of the Armed Services Recruiting Center when the moonbats were in town and had threatened to enter the recruiting center.

The police chieftress came by to tell all of the cops stationed in front of the building not to react when they were throwing paint bombs at us and painting obscenities on the sides of the police cars parked along the street. I pointed out to her that the citizens of DC would be paying to have those cars repainted, and what I thought of that!

The good news is that she didn't arrest me--LOL!

I would be willing to bet that there aren’t any illegal aliens, at least Hispanic ones, in the Trinidad district they’re closing off. There might be a few Africans or Afro-Caribbeans, but the locals don’t really like them very much, either.

Have to build holding pens first,then start with writing home that the fool in the cage died of pneumonia & for economy reasons the remains were cremated. That is how the Germans Ministry of Health did it in the 30’with the t-4 program. The more things “change” the more they stay the same.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just wall off the entire District?

And if we couldn't do that, just the downtown government buildings (Senate and House included) will do. :)

I can. All anybody has to do is mention "it's for the children" or "we're just trying to protect you from terrorists" and they are given carte blanche to do things that would have been right at home in East Germany before the Soviet Union collapsed.

I visited Eastern Europe before the Soviet Union collapsed, and I saw people that were afraid of their government. It's headed that way here.

Except - in the Warsaw Ghetto, some of the Jewish internees finally shot back at the bastards. They KILLED a bunch of the Officer Friendly - Oops, I mean Nazi thugs, and resisted for a little while to show that they were still MEN, and not animals.

Below you will find the pertinent sections of the Constitution, and the 4th Amendement which control this sort of thing. It is up to the Congress to clean up this mess. Even though Congress delegated the administration of the District of Columbia to a sort of city government they are still the responsible party to clean up when it fails to function properly.

Section 8 - Powers of Congress

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To borrow money on the credit of the United States;

To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

To establish Post Offices and Post Roads;

To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;

To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;

To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

To provide and maintain a Navy;

To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District(not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings; And

To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791

. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
