Until she actually does it and there is video of it that Ickes doesn’t claim is all Photoshop, it is just a rumor of the sort MSM has floated before.

Pay close attention to her exact words. If she says she’s “suspending my campaign” that means she’s NOT dropping out of the race for the nomination. She’s merely laying low and hoping that some disaster overtakes Obama before the convention.

There are no more primaries, so there’s no point in continuing to campaign. But parse her words carefully — I think she’s going to hold on to her delegates and see if any mortally-wounding data on Obama comes out by the convention

Hillary Clinton waves as she leaves the stage after speaking to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee today.

By suspending her campaign, Clinton would retain nominal control of her delegates and could continue to raise money to pay off campaign debts. She would also allow late-primary states to finish up the process of electing pro-Clinton delegates to the August convention.

She's done. End of story.

But then again, maybe the disaster fix is in. lol..

ABC News has
Sen. Hillary Clinton will hold an event with supporters by Friday, likely ending her historic bid for the White House and ceding the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama, ABC News has learned.
All the news guys have is that she's making an announcement, all the rest is speculation on their part

Now is the time for McCain to reach out to her supporters. He will need her supporters-—badly-—in the Fall, and many of them are already viewing McCain favorably because they can’t stand Obama.

From your link:
Democratic sources also have said Clinton will suspend her campaign rather than close it down entirely. By suspending her campaign, Clinton would retain nominal control of her delegates and could continue to raise money to pay off campaign debts. She also would allow late-primary states to finish up the process of electing pro-Clinton delegates to the August convention.
What's the point of retaining control of her delegates, if Obama has it sewn up? The key here is the super delegates. It doesn't matter if they endorse Obama -- there's absolutely nothing to prevent them from changing their minds if something happens between now and August.

The witch is not dead until the convention officially votes and selects the nominee. And perhaps not even then

Hillary Clinton plans to drop out of the Democratic presidential race Friday, a anonymous senior Clinton adviser told FOX News

Clinton told about unnamed House Democratic supporters on a conference call Wednesday afternoon

Fixed it! This might be true, but I'll believe it when someone goes on the record. Or, on Friday, if the Beast herself proclaims it.

Caroline Kennedy will also be on the search committee.

I don’t see her picking Hillary for Obama’s VP. They want CHANGE. I think that Hillary will be left on the side of the road.

plans to drop out of the Democratic presidential race

And go Independent. If she were truly dropping out of the race for POTUS, she would

* release her delegates
* give a concession speech
* endorse Obama

You see those three things happening?
