Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will be in Bristol, Va., for a town hall gathering Thursday, according to his campaign Web site.
The event at Virginia High School will be free and open to the public, but tickets will be required for attendance. Doors are scheduled to open at 9:45 a.m., and the program is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m.
For security reasons, visitors should not bring bags. No signs or banners will be permitted.

Virginia High School Gym 1200 Long Crescent Dr. Bristol, VA 24201 Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Boucher for Congress Campaign Office 137 S. Court St. Abingdon, VA 24210 Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
United Mine Workers Office 2 Right Miners Dr. Castlewood, VA 24224 Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It seems to me that Obama is still trying to prove he can carry States. Which explains his visit to this part of the country. In other words, he’s still campaigning for the nomination, not the Presidency.
