Here is the complete quote:

“In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans … have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging,” he laments. “I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

How is it taken out of context??? The complete quote doesn’t make a h*ll of a lot of difference.

Then there are THESE little gems:

“Malcolm X’s autobiography seemed to offer something different,” Obama wrote. “His repeated acts of self-creation spoke to me; the blunt poetry of his words, his unadorned insistence on respect, promised a new and uncompromising order, martial in its discipline, forged through sheer force of will.”

Speaking of his mother:
“Her memories of the Christians who populated her youth were not fond ones,” Obama wrote. “For my mother, organized religion too often dressed up closed-mindedness in the garb of piety, cruelty and oppression in the cloak of righteousness.”

In “Audacity,” the senator wrote that such believers insist “not only that Christianity is America’s dominant faith, but that a particular, fundamentalist brand of that faith should drive public policy, overriding any alternative source of understanding, whether the writings of liberal theologians, the findings of the National Academy of Sciences, or the words of Thomas Jefferson.”
As for the Democratic Party, Obama observed that “a core segment of our constituency remains stubbornly secular in orientation, and fears — rightly, no doubt — that the agenda of an assertively Christian nation may not make room for them or their life choices.”

..........................................

He added: “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

“To admit our doubt and confusion to whites, to open up our psyches to general examination by those who had caused so much of the damage in the first place, seemed ludicrous, itself an expression of self-hatred,” he wrote.

..some of Obama’s conclusions about the white race, which he once described as “that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams.”

Obama’s racial suspicions were not always limited to whites. For example, after making his first visit to Kenya, he wrote of being disappointed to learn that his paternal grandfather had been a servant to rich whites.

He wrote in “Dreams” that the revelation caused “ugly words to flash across my mind. Uncle Tom. Collaborator. House nigger.”

t was not the first time young Obama would be subjected to racial slurs. He recalled an assistant basketball coach in high school referring to a group of black men as “niggers.”

“I told him — with a fury that surprised even me — to shut up,” Obama wrote.

“There are black people, and there are niggers,” the coach explained, according to Obama. “Those guys were niggers.”

Obama answered with contempt.

“’There are white folks and then there are ignorant motherf-—ers like you,’ I had finally told the coach before walking off the court,” he wrote.

I acted surprised years ago when a black (female) colleague of my wife used the “N” word freely while chatting with us over a burger, her response to me was the same as that coach’s “There are black people, and then there are n******”

LETS’S REALLY EXAMINE THESE STATEMENTS, PEOPLE.

From Dreams of My Father, “ I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”.

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “THE EMOTION BETWEEN THE RACES COULD NEVER BE PURE...THE OTHER RACE WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT; MENACING, ALIEN AND APART.”

From ‘Dreams of My Father’,
“I CEASED TO ADVERTISE MY MOTHER’S RACE AT THE AGE OF 12 OR 13, WHEN I BEGAN TO SUSPECT THAT BY DOING SO I WAS INGRATIATING MYSELF TO WHITES.”

From Dreams Of My Father, “NEVER EMULATE THE WHITE MEN and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER’S IMAGE, THE BLACK MAN, SON OF AFRICA, THAT I’D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN MYSELF”.

From Dreams Of My Father:
“THAT HATE HADN’T GONE AWAY,” he wrote, BLAMING “WHITE PEOPLE— some cruel, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

From Dreams Of My Father;
“There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “IT REMAINED NECESSARY TO PROVE WHICH SIDE YOU WERE ON, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT, AND NAME NAMES. “

From Dreams Of My Father, “I HAD GROWN ACCUSTOMED , everywhere, TO SUSPICIONS BETWEEN THE RACES.”

Doesn’t that just about sum up his views of the white race?
He set HIMSELF apart from the white race at an early age, to blame them and pity himsef- to play the race card.

Now, let’s look at what he says about Islam:

Quote from Barack Obama’s book, Dreams Of My Father:
“THE PERSON WHO MADE ME PROUDEST OF ALL, though, was [HALF BROTHER ] ROY .. HE CONVERTED TO ISLAM” .
He’s PROUD of his brother for converting to Islam????
(brother is now a radical Muslim in Kenya.)
He’s telling us he APPROVES of Islam!
Then why did he leave it?
He didn’t, he joined a “Christian” church for political reasons.

I suppose he’s proud of his murderous Islam-backed cousin, Odinga, too. Odinga had a pact with Islamists that if he won the election, he would force sharia law on the country and when Odinga lost the election, he instigated riots that resulted in 1500 deaths- among those were 50 people burned alive in a Christian church when they burned it to the ground!
Is Obama proud of his cousin, too? Must be. He went to Kenya and campaigned for him. But then, he told us long ago, “I will stand with the Muslims..”.

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “IN INDONESIA, I HAD SPENT TWO YEARS AT A MUSLIM SCHOOL.”
“I STUDIED THE KORAN.”
He tells us in his book he went to a Muslim school and studied the Koran.
NOW THE OBAMA CAMP DENIES IT.

From ‘Audacity of Hope: “LOLO (Obama’s step father) FOLLOWED .. ISLAM...” “I LOOKED TO LOLO FOR GUIDANCE”.

Obama was under his Muslim stepfather’s influence during much of his formative years. He tells us his stepfather was a practicing Muslim, and HE LOOKED TO HIM FOR GUIDANCE. Don’t think the Muslim father didn’t give it to him..just as is required by Islam.

From The Audacity Of Hope, “WE ARE NO LONGER just A CHRISTIAN NATION..We ARE also a Jewish nation, A MUSLIM NATION, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.”
Western civilization, whether Libs like it or not, is based upon the morality outlined in the Bible, and it has been our adherence to this morality that has determined the strength of our civilization.

“ISLAM ISN’T IN AMERICA TO BE EQUAL TO ANY OTHER FAITH, BUT TO BECOME DOMINANT. The Koran ... should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth. Everthing we need to know is in the Koran. We don’t need to look somewhere else.” OMAR M. AHMAD, CHAIRMAN OF CAIR,the mainsteam Muslim advocacy group.

He admires MALCOLM X????

Speaking of his mother:
“Her memories of the Christians who populated her youth were not fond ones,” Obama wrote. “For my mother, organized religion too often dressed up closed-mindedness in the garb of piety, cruelty and oppression in the cloak of righteousness.”

He’s speaking for himself.

HE ADMITS HE CHOSE AS HIS FRIENDS MARXIST PROFESSORS.

Absolutely classic fascist rhetoric.

Militarism, Will, New Order. All the buzzwords in one sentence

From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

You state that you are providing the ‘complete quote’ and then edit out the pertinent phrases. That’s honest how?
