FOX News released this segment of the interview on Special Report with Brit Hume: video link
Ali Abunimah is the co-founder of the online Pro-Palestinian publication The Electronic Intifada and the author of One Country: A Bold Proposal to End the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse.
Here is part of the transcript from the interview with Democracy Now from January:
AMY GOODMAN: Ali Abunimah, I wanted to ask you about the candidates in the United States. Youre speaking to us from Chicago, so lets start with Barack Obama. The stances of the presidential Democratic and Republican candidates on the Israel-Palestine conflict. I cant remember when in a debate they were asked about the mounting crisis there.
ALI ABUNIMAH: I dont know if theyve been asked in a debate, but whenever they have been asked, they have all gone out of their way to express full support for what Israel is doing. Barack Obama is not distinguished from the rest of the pack, except by for how far he has moved to try to appease AIPAC and pro-Israel movements.
I remember, AmyI knew Barack Obama for many years as my state senatorwhen he used to attend events in the Palestinian community in Chicago all the time.
I remember personally introducing him onstage in 1999, when we had a major community fundraiser for the community center in Deheisha refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. And thats just one example of how Barack Obama used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation. And just yesterday, he apparently sent a letter to Zalmay Khalilzad, the US ambassador at the UN, to urge the US not to allow any resolution to pass criticizing Israel and saying how Israel was forced to impose this barbaric medieval siege on Israel.
None of the other candidates in the mainstream have spoken out for Palestinian rights. The only ones who have taken forceful positions opposing the current US strategy are Dennis Kucinich on the Democratic side and Ron Paul on the Republican side. The mainstream are all perfectly comfortable with the war crimes that Israel is committing, no matter how much they talk about human rights elsewhere.
Barack and Michelle Obama and Professor Edward Said at a May 1998 Arab community event in Chicago at which Edward Said gave the keynote speech. (Bill Baars West Side)
The Electronic Intifada reported earlier on how Obama suddenly learned to love Israel.
More Shocker!! Obama took the endorsement of the Pro-PLO Socialist Party.

Great article!
Yes it is. She has indicated that she "would accept" the Vice President position. She has now put herself in line to be the candidate when and if the dirt on Obama gets deep enough to cause him to withdraw.
The Clintons are ruthless.
Yes indeed - he is seeking to be America’s first Arabic President....
What fools....
Does anyone here believe that Traitor Obama is going to let Traitor Clinton be his “vp” nominee?
Should he do so, he is a bigger idiot than he is evil....
There; fixed it for you.
The Clintons are ruthless.
Indeed they are.
Her parents were Pakistani and Indian, I believe.
I’m not in the business of defending Hillary but lets be factual.
We have for years here skewered Hillary for her White House phot-op pics with Ms Arafat, her calling for a Pali state...much like W and Condi and her MFing Jew tirades of lore....we have since learned she probably calls everyone MFer when angered
Obama is pretty darn cozy with the radical left that cozies up to Islamic causes of all stripes and went to a church that supports Anti-Jewish and Anti-Israel rhetoric pretty much most Sundays
personally I don’t think it’s an accident she does better with Jews but it ironic that they are both schooled in Saul Alinsky collectivism
Obama’s maternal grandmother was Saudi I think...
that makes him 75% quasi-Caucasoid and 25% Negroid
although there are now reports that his Kenyan granny simply made it all up
tell that to the 95-98% of blacks who get wet over the guy
i really think the few hundred blacks who openly dislike Obama are all freepers
Show me who you are associated with, and I tell you who you are!
That was funny when they turned him orange.
Bama is an individual that not only is very likely a racist, but has been proven to be a racist supporter, in regards to his long membership with his church.
Good gravy... Obama really is the 12th Imam, isn’t he?
“Obama will get 35% of the vote for simply breathing”
or for writing his name; however their will be points taken off because he doesn’t want to write his real name.
That’s it. Good find my FRiend.
No Jew in his or her right mind would ever vote for Baraq Hussein.

Does that make him a "wack" or a "blite"?
He's not white or black.
He's Barak.
thanks Fred
With folks on our side referring to him in this manner, why would he bother?
