I guess we'll find out soon one way or the other. If it ends up being true the super delegates might have no choice then to give Hillary the nomination.
Add to that - Michelle said these things while sitting on a panel with none other than Louis Farrakhan... At least that’s how the rumor goes. I can’t imagine it lasting this long if there wasn’t really a tape. I also can’t imagine the Obama campaign getting snippy over it all if they didn’t know it existed as well (see Michelle’s comments yesterday about bloggers “lying”, and their hacks trying to say that she didn’t say “Whitey” she said “Why’d HE”).
Superdelegates are concerned about one thing and one thing only, keeping blacks from bolting the party. They will bolt if Obama is not the nominee. Blacks won't care a whit if MO has ranted about "whitey". IMO, Obama will lose even if he gets 100% of black voters, but he will be hard put to win even one state if he doesn't get that whopping black vote. That would have far reaching consequences both down the ticket and in the future.
And in that case, the Media did us a big favor today. All day AP has said that Obama had the nomination. They’ve showed him with 2129 delegates, even before winning Montana.
If a week from now Obama doesn’t have a majority of delegates, there will be a LOT of Obama supporters who will be really upset about him getting pushed out by the white establishment.
Most of them would be saying “You Go Girl” to a tape of Michelle saying bad things about White people.
