Most people who are allergic to cats... aren’t allergic to cats, but the dander in cat hair.

So if you shave your cat bald, no one will sneeze.

Actually, they are allergic to something in cat saliva....and cats lick their coats a lot....you have a point! But, I had a party once, and UNTIL the chick SAW the cat she was fine....once she saw it....she made her boyfriend take her home...

It’s been said that Himilayan or siamese cats both have properties to their fur that make them non-allergen. I dont know if this is really true, since my cats are indoor cats. But I haven’t had any allergic reactions.

“Dander” is skin cells that flake off the cats body so shaving the hair won’t help. Bathing the cat and using moisturizer might help a little but I have bathed a cat and it’ not something you want to do very often.
