Jun 1, 2008 - 6:46:34 PM

Lu Shishen, who reported the cover up of the earthquake forecast, said that there was a strong nuclear explosion in Sichuan during the earthquake.

Xinhua reported yesterday that an explosion of “volcano was observed in the earthquake”, people said that concrete debris was burst out of the crack during the quake.

Experts tested the debris and found it is radioactive, according to Lu Shishen’s report.

I also suspect that this is not a nuclear device(bomb) going off. More likely, nuclear reactor or other nuclear facility blew up and sent radioactive debris out to the surface.

Looks like even earthquakes made in China are contaminated.

I would not be surprised if this actually occurred.

The Communist Chinese play fast and loose with safety and no doubt have little concern if part of their own population were to be eliminated by accident.

If they can get a nuke that deep, the any concern about the world’s petroleum supply is unfounded.

A more likely scenario is that a large underground nuclear test explosion triggered the earthquake.

Particularly troubling is the fact that the Earthquake Bureau of Communist China held a major conference in Hangzhou on April 28, 2008—two weeks before the Sichuan earthquake. The title of the conference was “Training Course for Keeping Earthquake Information Confidential”.

Agenda item # 1: “Study of Regulations and Provisions for Keeping Earthquake Information Confidential. Agenda item # 2 was “Discussions of Working Methods for Keeping Earthquake Information Confidential”.

~~~~~~~~~~
Sure would be nice to hear what AFTAC has to say about that event (or sequence of events)...
I would think some kind of criticality occurred, possibly in improperly stored high-level waste or fuel rods, maybe combined with a chemical explosion of some kind?
I think that something got lost in translation.
That happens. After assembling by BBQ (following the translated directions) it looks more like a lawn mower.
Believe it or not but to speak Chinese it is necessary for the speaker to access both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously.
This seems to be somewhat genetic in origin with your typical Chinese being born to do the job. Europeans and others can learn Chinese, but they access one side only -
Science News has some articles about this in the last year or so if you want to look them up.
What this means is that most Chinese to English translators tend to focus on the side of the brain where they keep English, and thereby LOSE all the sense of the word or phrase or picture kept in the other side of their brains for use in Chinese.
I have no doubt that the only solution to this problem will be electronic in nature.
One of life's little delights is to teach a Chinese speaker how to handle English and to add "warmth" to it. Can take years and years and years!
I believe that it is saying that there was a nuclear accident caused by the earthquake.
I've been wondering for a few days if a nuclear accident or nuclear testing caused the earthquake. (Cause and effect in question.)
I know a few Bubba's that don't have to use either hemisphere of their brains to speak. :p
Why the heck are they doing testing in Sichuan, which had a 7.4 in 1933 and a 7.3 in 1948?
I don’t know about 12 miles, but holes 5-8 miles deep are drilled for nuclear waste disposal research. It could be that one of China’s experimental waste disposal sites got churned up in the earthquake.
I believe that it is saying that there was a nuclear accident caused by the earthquake.
That would correspond with a news report from last week. It reported that large numbers of Chinese troops went into an area to contain a nuclear accident caused by the earthquake.
The report was played down, claiming that the army went in to secure radioactive materials from nuclear medicine units in damaged hospitals.
