Clinton Spokesperson: She Is Not Conceding
ABC News ^ | June 06, 2008 | Kate Snow and Eloise Harper

Posted on 06/02/2008 1:23:39 PM PDT by Berlin_Freeper

Clinton spokesperson Mo Elleithee came to the back of the press plane as Clinton flew from Rapid City to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He was asked about Clinton's definition of when a nominee would be determined -– because she has refused to accept the new 2,118 delegates number that the Democratic Party says is needed to clinch the nomination.

"I think its pretty clear that she is not conceding." Elleithee said, "I think its pretty clear that she is staying in this race. She is going, in the coming days, to be aggressively courting uncommitted superdelegates aggressively courting unpledged delegates, making the case to them that she is a candidate best ready to take on John McCain."

...He continued “until there is a nominee we are going to still work to become that nominee. When asked when they would determine a nominee would be selected –- because the Clinton campaign has refused to accept fully the 2,118 number –- Elleithee said, “we're exploring -- she has said before she wants to have this to be resolved before the convention -- we are reviewing our options.”

Eliethee continued, “We do not expect that a nominee will be clear tomorrow night … she is mostly going to be working the phones and meeting with these delegates."

When asked why Clinton was spending tomorrow in New York at an event the campaign is calling a "victory party," Clinton’s spokesperson said, “it’s a good way to close out this phase of the campaign is come to New York bring all of her supporters together, have a big celebratory election night party as we move into the next phase of the campaign which is obviously the courting of these delegates.”

What will happen to the people who back stabbed her in the campaign?
It will be like a Stalin Purge!

As soon as I saw “Politico” associated with some of these reports, I knew it was a sham put forward by Obama. That place has no credibility with me after what they did to various candidates during the GOP primaries.

That makes two of us. They would report on GOP candidates and the NY Times would pick it up and run with it. If it was wrong, the retraction would appear on page 30 or more and the damage was done. I wouldn't give you two cents for Politico who has been carrying Obama's water more and more.

If some of the Republicans running in the primaries would have had this same fighting spirit we might not be stuck with Juan the anti-Republican for our nominee.

Ding, ding, ding. Stop FR. - we have the FR Post of the Day.

She dug into her own money to the tune of 6 or 7 million bucks recently to keep things going...

Snurple...you win the prize! Her continuing has
everything to do with $$$.
Remember, Hillary is the woman who itemized her underware donations to Goodwill on her tax return. Does anyone think she is going to concede and quit fundraising before she has received back every penny she’s spent??

Question: If all superdelegates were stripped from each candidate, who would be ahead?

I agree. Obama probably put out that story to counteract his wife’s stupidity.

After all, Hillary and Bill were masters at it.

At this point I don’t know why anyone keeps falling for the spin from the MSM/DNC and Obama camp that she’s backing out. Hillary doesn’t back off that easily. And it’s getting ridiculous that they keep thinking she will just because they say she will. Do they not know this woman at all?

The Clinton’s tore the Party to pieces just to retain their power in the ‘90’s. They will tear it apart again to get that power back. And if they fail, they will find a way to destroy the people that took this from them.

The way McCain has been a sore in our side since 2000, Hillary would be ten times worse to Obama if he won. A fact I’m counting on if Obama wins.

All that you say is why I don’t think they’d (Clintons)have much luck in 2012. They’ve incurred too much wrath and hatred this time around, even from former supporters, who finally see them for what they are-narcissistic yuppies with a sense of pure entitlement. I’m starting to think the longer they stay in, the more the odds are they know it’s this time around or nothing.
