Will keep this short.
Networks preparing for Hillary to (finally) quit in speech Tuesday night.
Will be from NY, Staffers being told to turn in expenses, resumes being FedExed to Obama and other state/local campaigns.
Staffers at one network recalled from lunches to prepare.
Campaign staffers being told to go home.
One network had long conference call among suits last night, followed by conference call between tech types to set up remotes, back-hauls, break-ins, etc.
Union technicians, cameramen, audio, video engineers, etc. told to expect overtime.

From Associated Press RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton will give her post-primary speech in New York Tuesday night, a rare departure from the campaign trail. Staffers who have worked for her on he ground in Puerto Rico, South Dakota and Montana have been invited to attend the event or go home for further instructions, campaign aides said. The New York senator had no other events Tuesday. She planned to address AIPAC Wednesday in Washington.
From "The Atlantic" Clinton Campaign staffers and former campaign staffers are being urged by the Clinton campaign's finance department to turn in their outstanding expense receipts by the end of the week. That's a sign, to them, that the campaign wants to get its affairs in order soon. If Clinton were staying in the race, there'd be no real reason to collect these receipts now; she'd still be raising and spending money from the same primary campaign account. The campaign is in arrears to the tune of about $11 million.
From one network:
"The former first lady's campaign announced that she would hold an election night "celebration" in her home state of New York, not in the final voting states of Montana or South Dakota."
The Politico website reported that far-flung members of Clinton's travelling staff had been summoned back to New York for Tuesday evening and told their roles on the campaign are ending.
She'd be screaming to high heaven if it was just an opposition trick.
I think she's toast.
“Darn. I wanted this to go on until the convention. But at least now McCain can (hopefully) grow a pair and show America who Obama is.”
Obamaganda for months has cast Hillary as dropping out.
Don’t count on it.
This campaign is moving to a protracted backroom phase.
If she specifically calls her big money contributors there...she’s gonna ask for more money.
Hillary will drop out of the race tomorrow night and then join Obama in NYC Wednesday to pose for pictures and announce that she will do everything possible to get Obama elected and stop a third Bush term. Democrats will praise her statesmanship and bask in party unity in preparation for the convention and the general election. That is what is going to happen.
We’ll see. We’ll see if Hillary knows how to concede gracefully.
The Clintons have not lost an election since Bill ran for re-election as Arkansas governor in 1980. Then, he ran for re-election and won another term as gov. in 1982. Then was continually re-elected until elected president.
The Clintons don’t have much history with losing elections. It’s easy to win an election and be happy and thank everyone for support, yadda, yadda, yadda. We’ll see how they handle this.
I never thought I would see this day, at least not till November. I sure thought she would win the nomination.
This could be an even bigger party than the coming death of Castro.
It would be funny if she announces she’s going “scorched earth” and that the race isn’t over until the roll call of states at the convention. Super delegates can change their minds, you know.
Gee maybe the Clintons have some Dem. loyalty or concerns for others than themselves after all.
Then again, maybe they just moved their calendar target to 2012, assume that Mc Cain beats Obama in November, and that she is the front runner for 2012 for Dems.
Now Barry, Don’t get snippy (tm) with me. There has been “a Change”... (1000 lawyers heading to Denver...)
You bet she will. Im sure she chucked out 6 or 7 mill of her own money recently so she could quit and kiss obumma's ass, get real.
I want to believe you’re right, but I fear the sheeple are clamoring for “change”, whatever the hell that is in their minds.
Insightful. The primary race is done, so time to shut things down until the convention. No need to actually concede!
She has (?) a majority of votes (remember, rules don’t matter), almost enough delegates, and there’s still enough uncommitted superdelegates to pull it off. And yes, there’s always the possibilities of who will actually still be in the race come the convention.
She can’t concede. This is her last chance. This is for all the marbles, and the game isn’t over yet. Pull out, and the Clinton dynasty is over.
That’s is maybe the best graphic I’ve ever seen on FR. And that’s saying something given the brilliant humorous graphics, especially by Registered, that have been posted here. Is it your work or did you find it somewhere?
>>>>This could be an even bigger party than the coming death of Castro.
Somewhere John McCain is praying “....... and thank you Lord for, each in their own way, Barack Obama, The Reverend Wright, ACORN, Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, Huma Abedin, FR, Jim Robinson, Mr. Petronski, MindBen.......”
We already know. Obama is McCain's "good friend". And McCain will do his best to make sure Obama becomes president.
It's mine. I was inspired by that series of Hillary pictures AP produced last week. She was on a plane, but I thought it was more appropriate for a late night bar scene.
I love it when you talk dirty.
