ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Spanish police say they have broken up an al-Qaida-linked cell and arrested three people, including one person in the Basque town of Azkoitia.
The Interior Ministry says the three men of Algerian origin are accused of fundraising for Islamic terrorist activities.”
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The statement says the arrests were made in collaboration with British authorities. It says these officials knew of the suspects because they had links with other suspected extremists in Britain.
Spain says that since the March 11, 2004 terror attacks in Madrid police have arrested more than 300 Islamic terror suspects.”
