Good for Fieger! This was overkill by the federal government. Glad the jury did go for it.

did=didn’t

Glad the jury didn’t buy the government’s case.

from Detroit News article http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080527/METRO/805270320/1409/Metro .... “Fieger has admitted he reimbursed employees and others for the donations, some of which were solicited by his partner, Johnson. The key issue is whether Fieger and Johnson knowingly broke the law.” ............. these guys are supposed to be some of the finest lawyers in the state,and they didn’t know it was illegal?????? gee,your honor,I didn’t know it was illegal to rob banks,can I get aquitted like Fieger?

I have a strong suspicion that the jury pool was drawn from a group of radical left wing Democrats.

How can reimbursing your employees for directed political donations be legal?

The jury was obviously populated with Kwame types.

Fieger is a slime ball ambulance chaser.

A “not guilty” verdict does not imply innocence.

Jury foreman: “Not guilty, Your Honor. He’s a Democrat.”

Be serious - I know that’s illegal and I’m not a laywer, never mind a hot-shot high-flying famous trial lawyer. There’s no chance in a trillion that Flieger did not knowingly break the law - he just has the benefit of a jury full of Demagogues.

This is a VERY common practice in law firms with political connections. Not saying it’s proper, just saying it’s common.

I will say it again. Feiger is the lawyer I would want on my side. He is a fighter, may not be liked but he wins his cases.
