Ms. Stiffler starts right out by quoting a soldier likening an incident to "a frat house gang rape."
One former soldier recounted an interrogation of an Iraqi by his fellow combatants so brutal he likened it to "a frat house gang rape."
I can't help but think the referrence was to the alleged "Duke" rape case and that was a phony just as I suspect most of these stories are. I believe Lisa Stiffler is the typical leftist Seattle journalist.

"The soldiers called on U.S. lawmakers to cut funding and force the Bush administration to stop what they saw as an unjust, unwarranted war." Ingrate! They are protesting the war and protesting the US government's actions, just as the Iraqis are getting to do the same after decades of brutal oppression. And they call Iraqi liberties unjust?

I was an RTO with a MACV Advisory Team assigned to ROK’s for a short period. This Boy would would have gone cationic if he had witnessed their field interrogations.

Neither the author or these lowlifes let the facts get in the way of what’s really happening in Iraq.

Yeah, I immediately thought of the Duke lynching, too. NOT the way he did, though.
Since the "reporter" is utterly sympathetic to these lowlifes, I wonder if she bothered to check out their credentials to see if they actually served, and (if so) if they were actually shoveling $#!+ in Louisiana rather than in-country.
The list of liberal anti-war "soldiers" who exaggerated or fabricated their supposed military service is QUITE long.

I suppose it is a lot less painful these days for the news media to seek out and publish the fabled ruminations of dissident Kerryesque soldiers than it is to publish the actual news from Iraq, insofar as we are winning the war. The media are so thoroughly invested in American defeat and disgrace that one wonders whether if every last al-Qaeda "insurgent" were killed, our intrepid reporters would volunteer to carry on the fight themselves, if only to avoid having to admit victory or deny defeat.

That is why I posted. I think that they drag out these kids who have never had a realistic view of how the world works until they went in to the Military.
How many kids today have been a real brawl? It was common when I was a kid, the physical brawl is that what prepares you for the bun fights when you become a man.
