(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Bo recorded his own followup single “I’m Bad” but for some reason, there was a misprint on the label “In Bad”. (just like the orignal Fats Domino “Ain’t That A Shame” says “Ain’t It A Shame”).
Bo’s backing musicians at Chess included Billy Boy Arnold (who took harmonica lessons from Sonny Boy Williamson back in ‘48), guitarist Lady Bo (Peggy Jones), and drummer Clifton James (Bo’s drummer from 1954-1970)...
Chuck Berry is still alive and kicking.
Don’t know the current state of James Brown’s funeral arrangements or estate dispute.
I think Bo was. I think Clarence Frogman Henry also listens.
Rush played a Bo Diddley song at the first break after the news came out.
interesting thing was about two weeks before we heard Diddly, we heard the animals - they were horridly unrecognizable. worst concert I ever went to.
Bo Didddly was much more a class act.
Chuck is alive and at 81, still singing:

Wow. The only version of “Who Do You Love” I’ve ever know has been the George Throughgood one.
Found this on YouTube:

The Pretty Things not only named themselves after one of Bo’s songs, they also covered Road Runner. And they are still kicking.

Freddy Cannon's 1961 hit "Buzz, Buzz, Diddle-Dit" blatantly reflected his influence, from its title to its driving, Bo Diddley-style beat. The song was also a somewhat belated knock-off of Byron G. Harlan's smash hit "Hello Central, Give Me Heaven" from 1901.
“You need to enjoy the trip because when the train reaches its destination, your done.”
About 20 years ago I took up woodworking as a hobby. I used to keep rushing to get to the finished piece. I was good, but not great. Then I decided to build a canoe. The fundimentals were familiar enough, but also different enough to slow me down. I had questions, I wanted to unerstand, I learned to enjoy the process.
That canoe, learning to slow down, understand what you’re doing and enjoy the process, changed my outlook in life.
I wish everyone their own canoe experience.
Winthorpe’s next classic line: “How much for the gun?”
RIP, Bo.
The Drifters also recorded a soulful, down-tempo song entitled “Lucille” (Atlantic #1019) in 1954.
One of my favorite Bo Diddley songe is “Bo Meets the Monster” (1958) in which he recounts his terrifying encounter with a purple people eater.

“You passed up the chance to add You dont know Diddly?”
That’s a good one! I’m a bit slow on the puns though. I do enjoy seeing them.
And an "E" ticket ride at that!
