Senator Tom McClintock Endorses Duncan D. Hunter for Congress
Backing of Leading Fiscal Conservative Adds to Momentum of Campaign
(El Cajon, CA) — State Senator Tom McClintock, largely regarded as one of the state’s leading fiscal conservatives; has endorsed Duncan D. Hunter for Congress. The endorsement comes as another sign that the Hunter for Congress campaign is in the strongest possible position.
In making the endorsement, Senator McClintock said, “Duncan D. Hunter is exactly the kind of leader we need in Congress. His commitment to lower taxes, less government spending and his fiscal conservatism are all reasons I strongly support him and his campaign.”
“I’m proud to have the support of Senator McClintock. His work on behalf of taxpayers in California has been never-yielding and always vigilant. I look forward to working closely with him in the future,” said Duncan D. Hunter.
Both Duncan D. Hunter and Senator McClintock are candidates this year for United States Congress. Senator McClintock is running for the 4th Congressional District in Northern California to replace Congressman John Doolittle, who is retiring.
Duncan D. Hunter is running to succeed his father, Congressman Duncan Hunter, who is not running for re-election. For more information, please visit www.HunterForCongress.com.
As much as I like you Tom, you should have endorsed one Duncan Lee Hunter for President, instead of some rino.
Hope the son wins his father’s seat. Duncan Hunter the father was our first choice in the primary. Even though he had dropped out by the time the PA primary took place, we wrote him in.
Hey, maybe if we can help get D2 elected to Congress, and after a few terms there, the governor’s mansion, maybe he can make a serious run for the White House!
I met Duncan Hunter in Ft. Lauderdale at the Value Voters debate. A priveledge - he gets the border issue, the Iranian problem and Chinese import issues 100%.
I’ll be writing him on the Nov. ballot as well.
He can’t win in Nov. unfortunately. I hope he will run in 2012. In fact, I hope he starts running in 2010.
No he can’t win in 2008. But my days of voting for people I do not support are over.
His son has time to learn from that. If he can hold his father's ideals tight while moving up from Congress when the time comes and make a name for himself in and out of DC (mostly out), then we could have something in a few years. That is the name of the game in politics.
AMEN!!!!!!
If D2 can start planning now, he may be ready for National prime time by 2020 or 2024. It's never too early to start thinking about the long term!
And so are you, Congressman Hunter! You have my write-in vote in November. God bless you both.
C'mon pissant! I know that you are smart enough to realize what that will ultimately be...
Do you honestly believe DH has a chance in Nov.? I suppose you could vote your conscience, but are you ready and willing to accept Obama as our next POTUS? Regardless of whether or not you feel you must stick to your conservative ideals, do the ends justify the means?
Don't get me wrong, I wrote DH in in the primary as well, but I am not about to let my "sense of duty" prevent me from my attempt to thwart a catastrophically-damaging presidency from coming to fruition.
I usually agree with your posts pissant, but I must respectfully disagree with your choice on this one...
You are certainly free to vote McCain. I understand all the arguments for doing so as well as his most ardent supporters do.
But I will not contribute to the move to the left by the GOP, I’ll let others take that responsibility on their shoulders.
With Obama at the helm, there might not be a recognizable country for an "energized" GOP to govern after 4-8 years...
Bump that!
Recall Arnie and let’s put Duncan Hunter Sr. in the Governor’s office. I would personally knock on doors to get that one done.
All the best to Duncan D. and victory in his run.
Why would you even bother? You’re certainly smart enough to know that writing his name in, isn’t going to change the outcome of the election? You’re displaying the same kind of adolescent stubbornness that I’m praying my teenagers outgrow. The difference is that they have an excuse, they’re young and hormonal, but you don’t.
Since I’m not voting for McCain, do you have a better idea who to vote FOR? Chuck Baldwin? Bobb Barr? Nader? Obama?
I’m pretty content with my choice. I’m sure you are pretty content with McQueeg. We’re even.
Dynastys are a very, very bad thing (ex. the Kennedys). D2 should pick a different profession.
