They’ll have to call in the EPA to contain the toxic waste.

From the Fox link above:
Universal City (myfoxla.com) —
Two helicopters and about 200 firefighters were trying to protect the film vaults on Universal City’s backlot, where a huge predawn fire broke out on a sound stage during a production, authorities said.
The blaze was reported in a sound stage on the studio backlot about 4:45 a.m., and about 200 county firefighters were helping studio firefighters quench the blaze, which reportedly spread to the New York City streetscape.

The fire began during a film shoot, he said.
At least one sound stage and several other buildings were believed to have been lost within about 30 minutes.

The film vault, Back to the Future lot and I think King Kong are gone. 300 firefighters on scene.

It’s history. The clocktower from Back to the Future is gone. I find this to be very sad.
There was a fire in 1990. 50 million dollars worth of damage.
It seemed to be started on the NYC streetscape and they were filming. There was a huge explosion, perhaps propane.

Somebody made them an offer they refused.

If the film vault is gone, we’ve lost a huge part of our cultural heritage.
To: netmilsmom
Agreed- hate to think of film/tv history going up in flames.

How did we "gain" by the destruction of the Back to the Future lot?
