Some stand in protest during President Bush's commencement speech at Furman University.

My husband’s cousin paid for a girl from the Phillipines to come over so he could marry her.
He is in his fifties and she is in her twenties. That gal on the end looks like she is that way.
The headline of the story should have been: Student Achievers Disrespected by Selfish Leftist Losers
LOL My wife (not bought by the way) is 11 years younger than me, and “not white”. I’m sure you didn’t mean that you assumed she was bought because of her color. Not to get all PC on you but that was a pretty bad throwaway statement.
DrDeb, THANK YOU for posting ‘what really happened at the Furman ceremony’...we won’t see or hear about this from the MSM.
Your favorite excerpt is terrific....my screen got blurry.
Thanks! Glad I scrolled down before posting.
Furman is my wife’s alma mater. It’s a pretty conservative Baptist school (though not as conservative as Bob Jones University across town!), and in addition to being known as the “Country Club of the South” for their lavish landscaping, it’s also a solid academic school as well. I’m not surprised that the President got an enthusiastic reception aside from fourteen smelly dessicated hippies.

It was from my personal experience. Yours is different. Yes, her age difference is what I’m judging on. Sorry if you’re offended but with as nice looking as the woman is and as slimy as the guy next to her looks, he bought her if that is his lady.
In this day and age, he either bought her from overseas or right here in the states. Go cruise around Las Vegas and you’ll see it. She likes his money. He doesn’t seem to have much going for him.
I hear Vincent Bugliosi(the prosecutor in the Charles Manson case) has written that book. Just sick.
Thanks so much for the full story. The sound was so bad on the video.
And many thanks to everyone who had kind things to say about President Bush. I come to FR to get cheered up and you guys never fail me:)
