"No. 1 Sex And The City truly shocked Hollywood pros by opening with a hanging-from-the-chandeliers $26.9 million from 3,285 theaters. The big question now is whether this staggering wanna-see among women for the HBO Films/New Line/Warner Bros female froth sustains through Saturday and Sunday showings so the weekend total can soar past $70M and maybe even $75M."

Actually, I do since my wife is a film fan. I guess my point is that this movie will probably flame out in a couple of weeks, after all the feminists go and see it but no one else does.

At least I hope so, since I can't stand that sleazy show and don't want to have to endure all the hype that would surely surround a sequel.

Well I can see you get your laughs on the failure of others. Next time figure out what you’re counting and what it means before you get your gloat on.

I’ve honestly developed a fear of relationships. Never used to have one. Hell, I got in to relationships no problem. Doesn’t take too many bad choices to make you gun shy.

Of course I’d be home tonight with my son regardless. I never date when I have him.

She is a dancer (ballet) since two years old or so.

They’re all scrawny.

LOL

I don’t even have a library card. Of course I just buy the books. I have a thing about owning all the books I read.

She doesn’t look too scrawny in that pic. She looks like she could easily slap around her hubby Matthew Broderick with those arms.

Oh darn, I didn’t expect a civil response.

I was hoping to tick-off a few inebriated male freepers.

LOL

Nah. I rarely drink, and never do it alone and at home. A few beers with friends is fun, but sitting home and getting drunk just seems depressing.

Of course with my work schedule I rarely date even when I don’t have my son. With minimum daily hours of 7:30-6, I just don’t have the time. And spending the whole day dealing with strangers either on the phone or face-to-face and the idea of going out to meet even more people is just too draining. Plus it would be pretty unprofessional to date any of the women I meet through work (not meaning co-workers).

I ‘ve never seen it either and if it wasn't for all the free media attention it gets I would have never heard of it either. Kind of like Paris Hilton.

Expect a sequel of SATC. YUCK!! Even worse this movie has a great chance of beating Prince Caspain in domestic box office.
American Public:
SATC: Materialistic Sluts: Yes
Prince Caspain: Uplifting story about faith and fighting evil: No

I have a thing about owning all the books I read.

A man after my own heart!........I feel exactly the same way. Because the books I actually finished are going to be ones I want to read again and again. I'm funny that way.

Good books are gold, as far as I'm concerned.

I finish everything I start, regardless of how bad. I think I have failed to finish one or two books tops.

And I even keep the crap, although it usually ends up boxed up and stored.

Were they Faulkner's "Sound and the Fury" or James Joyce's "Ulysses", by any chance?

Or perhaps anything by Maya Angelou? Do tell....
