Reverberations from the Sunday sermon of a Roman Catholic priest who mocked Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton at Senator Barack Obama’s home church here continued to spread Friday, after the priest offered an apology and the archbishop of Chicago gave him a public reprimand for “partisan campaigning.”
In a guest appearance at Trinity United Church of Christ, the priest, the Rev. Michael Pfleger, who resigned about two weeks ago from an unpaid position on the Obama campaign’s Catholic advisory council, delivered a tirade against Mrs. Clinton that included fake tears, a high-pitched voice and top-of-the-lungs screaming. He also gave a racially tinged critique of so-called “white entitlement,” of which he says Mrs. Clinton is guilty.
“When Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on — I really don’t believe it was put on,” said Father Pfleger, 59, the white pastor of a predominantly black South Side church. “I really believe that she just always thought: ‘This is mine. I’m Bill’s wife, I’m white and this is mine. I just got to get up and step into the plate.’ And then, out of nowhere, came, ‘Hey, I’m Barack Obama.’ And she said, ‘Oh, damn. Where did you come from? I’m white. I’m entitled. There’s a black man stealing my show.”
Father Pfleger, a well-known longtime activist and friend of Mr. Obama, issued an apology late Thursday. “I regret the words I chose on Sunday. These words are inconsistent with Senator Obama’s life and message, and I am deeply sorry if they offended Senator Clinton or anyone else who saw them.”
The Clinton campaign repeated on Friday, for a second day, its displeasure with how Mr. Obama has handled the situation, calling for him to reject Father Pfleger more forcefully.

These idiots have been doing this garbage for years. It’s nothing new. It’s time to tell them where to get off. They should be ostracized, not patted on the back.
This election is instructive in that it illuminates plainly the garbage that some black people revel in. Of course, we’re fed the BS that only whites are racist.
This is not a church of poor inner city blacks. It was described by another black minister as a church of black urban professionals.

I live in a small town in NC and I am now wondering what goes on in the Black churches here.
It is particularly galling that Wright and Pfleger are considered by some of their peers as prime examples of everything a minister should be.

Do you really think so? Did you observe how the congregation reacts to this clown and Wright's exhortations? They loved it. They have been loving it for 20 years. Do you really picture BHO sitting quietly in the pew "holding his nose" for 20 years while this stuff goes on? I don't think so.
I think he was sitting in the front pew, nodding his head, smiling and clapping his hands, agreeing with everything that was being said. His wife certainly has that mindset.
Hussein is a product of his environment. Radical mother. Columbia. Harvard law. South side Chicago machine democrat politics. The radicalism of Ayres and Wright and Phleger. He actually believes this stuff and he sees nothing wrong with it. It is who he is. Accept that fact and it explains a lot.
It goes beyond that.
If I may be so politically incorrect as to state the obvious, it's apparent that many of the people Obama associates with don't much care for white folks.

It’s amazing how liberals ALWAYS go off about how we need to have separation of church and state and yet in this election cycle the blatant CROSSING OVER from state into the church to promote Obama is disgusting and illegal. And if we tried to say anything about it we’d be called out as racists for trying to “muzzle the black man’s free speech”. I think the IRS ought to be called in and question the tax status of every church Obama has spoken in since he’s been on the campaign trail. If it were Republicans running and speaking in church and we had a democrat President, you bet ya he’d be calling in the IRS pronto...

Pfleger was imitating Clinton’s New Hampshire crying episode.
It is my understanding he thought Clinton’g tears were real - but not for the reasons she stated.
He thought she was crying because, as a white person, and as the wife of Bill - she felt entitled to the presidency.
When Barak came along and stole her thunder - she cried real tears.
Bump for Monday’s call to the Archbishop.....I urge ALL people to do this.
