No End Of Bile From Obama's Bully Pulpits

Decision '08: Everybody knows the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his bigoted anti-American rants. We'll soon get to know the Rev. Michael Pfleger. With Barack Obama, you're not only waiting for the other shoe to drop. You're following a centipede.

In April 2004, Sen. Obama told a reporter from the Chicago Sun-Times that he had three spiritual mentors or counselors: Jeremiah Wright, James Meeks and Father Michael Pfleger. On Sunday, May 25, Pfleger showed up at Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ doing his best Rev. Wright imitation.

A radical priest at Chicago's St. Sabina Catholic Church, Pfleger told the congregation, "We must be honest enough to expose white entitlement and supremacy wherever it raises its head." He mimicked Hillary Clinton crying and said her reaction to Obama's candidacy was to say: "I'm white. I'm entitled. There's a black man stealing my show."

Obama was quicker on the draw than he was with Wright, saying last week that he was "deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger's divisive, backward-looking rhetoric." Maybe, maybe not. But if Obama doesn't share Pfleger's views, Trinity Church — Obama's church — obviously does.

With Wright, Obama could get away for a while with claiming remarks such as 9/11's being a case of America's chickens coming home were cherry-picked snippets from decades of sermons, and that in any event he wasn't there on those particular Sundays.

If Obama wants to be leader of the free world shouldn't he demonstrate his leadership capability? Perhaps by effectively leading his church away from this type of rhetoric. In fact, a true moral leader for change already would have led that church away from it.

How about a new Obama campaign slogan:

Less Bile and more Bible.

Somehow I don’t think it’s going to catch on.

I lived on the South side of Chicago from 1995 until 2005. While I never met Father Michael Pfleger, it seemed that I was reading about him constantly in the Trib. He was always described as a community activist.

I suspect that there is a veritable treasure trove of speeches and writings by this guy that are going to become public very soon, with a little digging by Fox, etc.

It will also be interesting to see if the public grasps the underlying theme; this is how things are done in Chicago.

Pfleger is part of what is wrong with religion today. He is not part of any solution and if I was in Chicago, I would demand that he be booted out of the priesthood. We have enough of sinners who are filled with hatred and we don't need any goofball priest to promote hate......

Apparently Matthew 6:14-15,Matthew 18:12, Matthew 18:35 and Luke 6:36-37 were not popular sermon passages in these Chicago churches nor was Luke 6:31-36.

Why is this Pfleger praising Obama, who is the most dilligent political fighter for denying the right to life to the unborn? Pfleger is supposedly a Catholic priest, so shouldn’t he be pro-life and condemning the murder of the unborn? No, instead he is speaking, or rather shouting, on behalf of Obama, who is no friend to babies.

Pfleger is a well-known far-left nutjob in Chicago. Apparently the Catholic Church is scared to shut him up.

“But if Obama doesn’t share Pfleger’s views, Trinity Church — Obama’s church — obviously does.”

The same Trinity Church that Obama attended for 20 years.

The same Trinity Church where the meme of victimization of blacks by their white oppressors — underpinned by the racist and genocidal teaching of ‘black liberation theology’ — can be heard on any given day.

They brought in Pfleger to support their views while protecting the new black pastor's reputation and job. This way Trinity furthers its Black "Liberation" Theology and hides cowardly behind an unscrupulous white race baiter.

The problem is that they are getting on a lot of people's nerves and illustrating that they are indeed radical. Radicals press on with their hatred at all costs, not unlike William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.

Obama is incredibly dangerous. He is the handsome, smiling face of racist radicalism and old-fashioned Marxism.

My sweetheart's the man on that moon
I'm going to vote for him soon
'Twould fill me with bliss
Just to give him one kiss
Not to love him would be so remiss
I'll go up in a great big balloon
To my sweetheart, the man on that moon
Then behind some dark cloud
Where no one is allowed
I'll make love to the man on that moon

(just another giddy Oprah fan)
