...What now makes this Parish unique is not the intensity of its care for the poor and marginalized but the vocal and active support of its Pastor, Father Michael Pfleger for the candidacy of Senator Barack Obama for President and the outlandish remarks he recently made in the pulpit of a Protestant Church.
In his own words:
"I really believe that she just always thought, 'This is mine! I'm Bill's wife, I'm white, and this is mine! I just gotta get up and step into the plate....And then out of nowhere came, 'Hey, I'm Barack Obama and she said, 'Oh, damn! Where did you come from? I'm white! I'm entitled! There's a black man stealing my show!'
"She wasn't the only one crying," he shouted as he mockingly pretended to cry, "There was a whole lot of white people crying...... "I'm white! I'm entitled! There's a black man stealing my show."
Senator Obama, who has publicly disavowed Rev. Wright’s controversial comments, soon found himself having to disavow this Catholic Priest. He did so from the campaign trail this week with these words:
"As I have traveled this country, I've been impressed not by what divides us, but by all that unites us.... That is why I am deeply disappointed in Father Pfleger's divisive, backward-looking rhetoric, which doesn't reflect the country I see or the desire of people across America to come together."
Father Fleger apologized this week for his words. He said "I regret the words I chose on Sunday. These words are inconsistent with Sen. Obama's life and message, and I am deeply sorry if they offended Sen. Clinton or anyone else who saw them."
However, the controversy has not subsided in a Democratic Presidential campaign which may not end even with the end of the Democratic Primaries.

Shall we demand an IRS investigation of these religious zealots?
Let’s call it number five.
Last year, Father Flakey harangued an anti-gun mob outside of a Chicago-area gun shop that Anti-gun tyrant Mayor Daley has been trying to shut down via intimidation and fear.
Amongst other hysterical rhetorical outbursts, Flakey said that the law abiding gun shop owner should be dragged like a rat from his shop and “snuffed” along with any Illinois legislators who would not vote for the anti-gun legislation. If someone can give me a good free site for audio uploads, I will post the audio clip for you to hear.
This fool may be a clown, but he is also a demagogue and potentially too dangerous to be undisciplined by the Archdiocese.
Expect Rome to step into this mess in Chicago real soon.

I think we should, let's put a petition together and send it to the IRS and demand that they audit and then remove the tax exemption status. They want to be a political stadium than pay taxes!

Amazin’, ain’t it? It seems that a common theme of human nature is to accuse others of your own failings. The strangest part of this is that the “priest” who is doing all this shuckin’ and jivin’ is as white as the driven snow. Is he the inspiration for Steve Martin’s movie, “The Jerk”? “I was raised a poor black priest.........”
The leftists have so contorted logic for so many years that their own heads are spinning now as they try in vain to make some sense of all their insanity! Only the most hardcore deceivers or those who lack the brains to cross the street on their own are still able to pretend that Obama and Clinton are anything other than two of the cruelest jokes imaginable. How did a nation founded by some of the wisest men ever to live descend to this level of madness? We have traded our birthright for a crock of bovine excrement.
