The regime lining their suitcases, sponsor parties and feasts for Mookie, buying Russo-Chinese secret toys, bribing Democrat Senators, buying new carpets for Ahmadinejad, supplying terrorists with rockets and bombs... 35 billion are quickly spent.

This is a serious allegation, as this amount constitutes almost half of Irans total oil income for that year. Ah, it's a mere drop in the bucket of what we have thrown at them. Heck, it's even lower than Sec. Rumsfeld's estimate of the whole war and rebuilding!

I think they are waiting for the Hidden Accountant to balance their books. He’s coming soon, so why bother keeping books before then.

Look for Ahmadinejad to get on a plane to Switzerland soon to reunite with his money.

I was thinking Iran, but the pronoun got messed up when I erased what I originally was going to post....about not counting on the oil revenues covering costs if we go into Iran, based on what we’ve seen in Iraq (recall that’s what we were told would happen there).
Then again, maybe we could all get free Persian rugs. :-)

Might be a very good time to administer a severe shock to their economy and see if their govt. can survive it. I know we have to worry about oil prices etc. b/c of domestic pressures of our own, but tightening the economic screws on Iran is about the only alternative left aside from either military strikes or letting them succeed with their nuke programs.

Iran's media is top down controlled. If this story is true, it looks like preparation to get rid of Ahmadinejad.
