And how is John McCain NOT a coward for still being a leftist RINO, a “conservative back stabbing”, and a “Republican back stabbing” Republican politician instead of actually always being a true conservative Republican on ALL of the issues? I also pose this same question about each and every leftist RINO Republican at every political level throughout the U.S.! When the Republican Party was actually a conservative political party at every level and NOT a “big tent” political party at every level, they were much more successful in both support and votes! The “big tent” is truly about to be badly deflated very soon.
>>The Republicans in Congress wont oppose him because they want access to the White House and as much quid pro quo as they can get.<<
I can’t remember the exact quote, but Huey P. Long said something like:
If you vote for me in the first primary vote you will get very special treatment after I am elected.
If you wait until the runoff, you will get some special treatment.
If you wait until the general election, you will get 4 years of “honest government.”
Republicans in congress want more than 4 years of “honest government” (as do the Dems).
In your dreams, or should I say nightmares. He will go down in flames if he is the democrat nominee. I have no doubt that McCain would win by a landslide against Hussein. However, I cannot bring myself to support John with my vote, especially since Bob Barr's platform is 90% with what I agree with. McCain rates about a 20%.
Agreed.
I thought the same thing. Talking in circles.
And yet the republican party did not choose one of those conservatives...so is it really the party of conservativism? Apparently not, given it's choice.
Are you suggesting the only way one is allowed to criticize the republican party is to be willing to run one's self? The liberals offer a similar argument that one can not be in favor of supporting the US troops in Iraq unless one forces their own children to join the military and send them to Iraq.
Thank you for the list, it is more complete than my late night one.
McCain slipped in on name recognition.... Partly true. Also, Rats by the thousands went to New Hampshire to vote for McCain. As I understand it, and according to Rush, all one had to do to vote in that primary was to declare intent to move to New Hampshire!
The RNC needs to revise it's primary process/order to insure that it's actual voting base are the ones that chose the candidates. If New Hampshire has policies in place where fraud is built in then it's silly to have it timed in such a prominent priority.
Actually, that list was some other freepers, but ya know I could name a score of others!
