Women Scorned - Look what they have done to her

How much anger is there among women about how Hillary Clinton has been treated during this campaign? Some of the nation's leading female politicians will tell you: quite a lot.

"From the beginning, she's been treated very badly," says Therese Murray, the president of the Massachusetts Senate. "No woman would have run with Obama's resume. She wouldn't have been considered." But Clinton has been "demonized by the press and the talking heads. How do you get away with that?"

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., says she is regularly approached "by women of all races, of all ages, of all faiths. They stop me, grab my hand and say, 'Look what they've done to her, we were so close.' They wanted this for their daughters and granddaughters. ... It's so heartbreaking."

For Rep. Darlene Hooley, D-Ore., the symbol that "sexism reigns supreme" was in the wide availability of offensive anti-Hillary paraphernalia in stores and on the Internet. For Barbara Johnson, president of the Minneapolis City Council, Clinton may have been the victim of "ageism" as much as sexism. The message, she said, was: "Your time is past, it's time for somebody new to take your place."

Many women, said Rep. Ellen Tauscher, D-Calif., "knew we had made many strides. They asked, 'Aren't we past this? What's going on?' They're not happy with what they see as sexism, permitted by the media and in some cases encouraged by the media."

If there is good news for Barack Obama in any of this, it is that the rage felt by Clinton's female supporters is directed in large part toward the media. "The anger is aimed much more at you all," said Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts of Rhode Island.

So, do these people really think that any man with Hillary’s resume of 35 alleged years of experience would have been considered a serious presidential candidate?

Almost since the end of the 2004 election, we had heard that Hillary was the Dem. front runner for 2008, and she received mostly positive news coverage. The negative news coverage has come about due to her own negativity in this campaign. All through 2007, before any primaries, she was up in the polls and the talking heads chattered that she was inevitable.

Hillary brought a lot of problems on herself. Bill brought a lot of problems onto Hillary also.

Some people are just plain evil and deserve to be treated badly.

I think that the latest racist and sexist rants by the Catholic priest in Barack Obama’s church last Sunday will be the final straw for feminists who feel Hillary has been dissed the the media and the Obama campaign. Look for them to stay home on Election Day.

But Femminists are ultimate haters and hypocrites.

Why were they not offended when man after man kept annoucing that Hillary has GIANT COJONES. She has TESTICULAR FORTITUDE. Obama is a pansy.

On top of that, Hillary would be nobody if she didn’t have last name of Clinton. So before these losers bitc* about someone elses resume, they ought to look at hers.

Finally, shameless disgusting racist statements that femminist have been making they ought to be ashamed of themselves. Are OVARIES more important to them then racial harmony?

Gerald Ferraro was on Greta Van Susteran. She shamelessly like a coward tried to portray Obama as Sharpton type candieate. Basically a RACIAL GREIVANCE candidate. You can say lots of things about Obama, but one thing he is not is Jackson or Sharpton. He has NEVER EVER said vote for me because injustice has been done to me. He has always said that he is POST RACIAL and BENEFITTED from him background.

Gerald Ferrao twisted simple statement like, “Its our time”, which he utterred in SC Primary. She claims that the “OUR” was for Blacks, and the WHITES are watching and asking, why is it not THEIR time?

How disgustingly racist do you have to be to conclude that from that statement?

Obama is NOT allowed to say OUR? When he says OUR that means Blacks? When he says, Yes WE can, that WE is Black? Somehow the Whites are feeling left out by his use of words OUR and WE?

These Gender Nazis are exactly what they are - Nazis. Haters. They will resort to SHAMELESS RACISM inorder to push an OVARY in WH.

Screw them. They deserve no respect.

This article is full of it. Hillary was treated as well as any other candidate. She isn’t winning because many people including women, dislike and despise her.

Perhaps had the Clintons not treated so many news folks (along with so many others) so poorly maybe they’d have treated her a little better.

They wanted this for their daughters and granddaughters

I wanted a strong president, an honest leader, a politician with the humility to recognize not only that there are practical limits to the problems that a politician can solve but also that there are constitutional limits to the problems that a politician is permitted to use government to solve. I wanted all that for my mother, my wife, my daughter, and my hoped-for granddaughters, as well as for their male siblings.

A Democrat would consider me racist and sexist because I consider the character and ability issues far more important than the race and gender issues in finding the best possible chief executive for our country. Perhaps I'm just not as enlightened as they are. I would have thought that voting for someone because she's a woman was precisely as sexist as voting against her because of her gender. I would have thought that the 80% of black Democrats who vote for Obama because he's partially black were precisely as racist as the 20% of white Democrats who vote against Obama because he's partially black.

Theoretically, I would consider electing a black president (based on ability!) or a female president (again, based on ability!) to be good things for the country. To simply annoint a candidate because he's in Biden's words, "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," does a disservice to the articulate mainstream leaders who deserve consideration for the job based on ability and also happen to be black. To treat Hillary as inevitable or even deserving because she had a romantic relationship with a former president similarly ignores the numerous qualified politicians who have accomplished something on their own rather than borrowing the limelight from a spouse, not to mention that the list of women who had romantic encounters with WJC appears to be a long list. Why is Hillary more qualified than Monica, Gennifer Flowers, or any of the other women who also had equally shallow relationships with WJC, and why would voting for a woman because she is female and despite the lack of other substantial qualifications be a positive precedent for the next generation of women?

I've also updated it a bit...

I just love that she really did what we all said she was going to do - foolishly and glibly shoot off her big mouth and spout out a real whopper once she was allowed to improvise. Until the heat of the campaign, her handlers put her in front of fawning audiences of obsequious sycophants and had her prepared with carefully scripted and choreographed 'interviews'.

Once she was allowed to 'wing it', all hell broke loose.

“How much anger is there among women about how Hillary Clinton has been treated during this campaign?”

- - - and HOW SHOULD a Clinton be treated? Should there be respect for their leaving a long trail of dead friends behind them? Should they be respected because Hillary usurped the Presidency and started imposing a universal health scheme on us? Do they command respect for the sleasiest administration ever to disgrace the White House? Or maybe they should be respected for opening the door to al Qaeda to destroy the Trade Towers? I know - respect them for giving our military technology to China!

Did I hit the bullseye?

I’m not against women....just this woman. I fail to see where she has had bad treatment. It is politics. If she/he can’t take the heat, she/he should stay out of the kitchen.
