And this is exactly the problem with making this a state’s right issue. What a ugly scar on our constitution that this will become.

Bring it on, you spinelless hack.

Another course of action in another state which will snowball and eventually destroy this nation.

I used to oppose a constitutional amendment defining marriage. But, the more this crap gets forced on us the more I support an amendment.

“Gov. David A. Paterson has directed all state agencies to begin to revise their policies and regulations to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, like Massachusetts, California and Canada.”
All all state agencies? Things must be rosy in New York when the governor can’t think of anything better for state agencies to do than jump up and start revising every form and reword every law and policy to remove references offensive to the concept of gay marriage. Just think. Crime in New York is now a distant momory! Every building on Wall Street is now terror proof! As a last act prior to his departure Gov Spitzer must have relocated every ho in from State NY to Washington DC.

Perhaps he knows that he won’t be in office a long time, that perhaps his own scandals will take him down (he started confessing the day he went in).
He pardoned Slick Rick this week. A man who shot two people.

The governors are running rough shod over the voters. No they have no say, anymore than those in MA did. THIS is why we need a federal marriage amendment. To put an end to all these cultural rot politics that are going to destroy our children and the nation.
These folks all need to get a clue. Marriage is about commitment and ensuring the continuation of the species in a union that is the best possible environment to raise the next generation. They way things are going? Where will the leaders come from? America will be history, just as every other society that has succumbed to this anti-culture.

I think it's on the ObamaNations short list of things to do. I wonder where McCain stands on this issue, I'll bet it right next to his buddy Teddy.

The governors are running rough shod over the voters. And the judges in our courts. Re: the latest pro homosexual, gay marriage decree by the courts in California.

There simply is no way to confine a plague like this to one state. This is why the “states’ rights” argument simply can’t be maintained. We’ll either have a constitutional amendment limiting marriage to one man and one woman, or we’ll have a series of tyrannical judicial and bureaucratic rulings forcing same-sex “marriage” on every state.
I’ve never figured out why people ever believed we could maintain states’ rights on an issue like this. It’s like using a screen door to keep out the black plague.
