I used to oppose a constitutional amendment defining marriage. But, the more this crap gets forced on us the more I support an amendment.

There simply is no way to confine a plague like this to one state. This is why the “states’ rights” argument simply can’t be maintained. We’ll either have a constitutional amendment limiting marriage to one man and one woman, or we’ll have a series of tyrannical judicial and bureaucratic rulings forcing same-sex “marriage” on every state.

I’ve never figured out why people ever believed we could maintain states’ rights on an issue like this. It’s like using a screen door to keep out the black plague.

It’s only going to get worse. Just wait until a federal judge finds one state’s marriage law unconstitutional under the US Constitution and therefore undermines the constitutions of the individual states that have constitutional amendments defining marriage.

Talk about a mess.

Until we have a federal marriage amendment, this issue is going to be ugly. And you’re going to have fiat after fiat, the public evermore disenfranchised. And make no mistake about it, the current is against us. Judges can invent “rights” whenever they see fit. And half a dozen nos can be eclipsed with a single yes.
