Dunkin' Donuts pulled a television spot featuring talk show host and Food Network personality Rachael Ray this weekend after a Fox news commentator associated it with terrorists.

In the ad, Ray is wearing a scarf that Michelle Malkin said in her nationally syndicated column resembled a kiffiyeh, Middle Eastern garb that is "popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos."

Good grief. I love Michelle Malkin, but it sure looks like a scarf to me.

I think any good Muslim would be offended by that picture, and the Saudi religious police would stone any woman who appeared in public like that.

Tempest in a teapot.

I think Malkin did DD a favor. Nevermind the scarf, it’s that Ray thing, get rid of it.

Yeah, thats it. Michelle desires to be a chubby chick with no waist and small boobs.

As much as I hate to appear to endorse overdressing by Rachael Ray, this is a stretch that makes Silly Putty look rigid by comparison.

Even if a scarf does look vaguely Muslim, it’s in no way automatically supportive of terrorism. But when rappers wear scarves that look like my grandma’s babushka, are they endorsing Polish Catholicism?

Michelle Malkin has jumped the AlQaeda-trained lasers-on-it’s-frigging-fins shark with this one.

She’s gone completely insane.

I think in these times everyone should be extremely careful about what we say and what we wear and do. For example, a colorful silk or nylon Western-style scarf is ok, but not anything that might be mistaken for Muslim wear.

Obama has started wearing a flag pin now after being criticized for not wearing one. We all have to be consistent in showing how patriotic and loyal we are and how much we oppose our nation’s enemies. It might not be pretty, but that’s just the way it is, and we have to accept it.

I know Michael and Charles at LGF went nuts over this, but it seems like much ado about nothing to me...

BTW, does anyone else think RR has a disproportionately large mouth? I'm not being rude - I just think her mouth seems way too large for her head. No jokes.

Yep, hate to have someone tell me how to cook a hamburger while in a sh?ty mood. Come on, all television personalities show us cheerfulness, that is part of their job. ;-)
