Topeka, KS (LifeNews.com) -- Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is getting flack from a pro-life group for supposedly holding a secret party at the governor's mansion with an infamous late-term abortion practitioner. Sebelius reportedly invited George Tiller and his abortion center staff for a party at Cedar Crest, the governor's mansion.
Rumors of the party have circulated for months and first appeared in print when nationally syndicated columnist Bob Novak mentioned them in an article saying Sebelius' pro-abortion views would fit with those of Barack Obama.
On Wednesday, Operation Rescue told LifeNews.com the rumors were true and produced pictures of the event appearing to show Sebelius with Tiller.
The pro-life group said the lavish April 2007 event came at a time when Tiller was under investigation by the attorney general's office.
The group said an anonymous source provided it with 27 pictures of the event, reported that Tiller and his abortion center staff were the only ones invited, and indicated they dined on a menu of steak and lobster.
Operation Rescue filed a request for information made under the Kansas Open Records Act concerning the cost and source of funding for this event. It indicated it received scant information concerning four unrelated events held at Cedar Crest during March and April of 2007, but no mention of the Tiller soiree.
Troy Newman, the head of the group, told LifeNews.com it is considering legal action alleging Sebelius' office is in violation of the open records law by refusing to provide complete information.
"Is Gov. Sebelius illegally concealing a taxpayer-funded gala honoring Tiller?" he asked. "The public has a right to know."
Newman says the event underscores the way in which Tiller has funded pro-abortion candidates, including Sebelius, giving them an opportunity for power in an otherwise pro-life state and elevating Sebelius to national prominence.
"Sebelius' office arrogantly believes that they can keep her strong ties to Tiller a secret, but their efforts to keep the truth from the public have only exposed their corruption," he said. "Sebelius would not be governor today if not for Tiller's financial support. She owes him her career."
Those ties have resulted in a failure to prosecute Tiller for everything from supposedly illegal late-term abortions to killing a disabled Texas girl in a botched abortion.
"Every agency in Kansas that could hold Tiller accountable for illegal late-term abortions, from the Board of Healing Arts to the Kansas Supreme Court to the Attorney General, are all laced with Sebelius appointees. It is little wonder that they all have done nothing but stall and obstruct efforts to prosecute him," Newman concluded.

She apparantly has some shame since she tried to hide it. Nah, she doesn’t, she just didn’t want to get caught.

I agree. She doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with it, but, like other leftists, she is aware of what the public thinks.

Yes, she would. And I hope he selects her as VP, so we can blast this picture around the world!
O’Reilly has been all over this guy for years. For her to celebrate a murderer like this is unconscionable, and I do hope Obama is dumb enough to pick her as a running mate. Hopefully the electorate will reject him and sent him back to Chicago.

I assume that photo will push her off the VP short list.

What a memorable event it must have been, steak & lobster with all the trimmings, and for desert?
Raspberry Jello in a mold of an aborted baby with plastic scissors suitable for festive letter openers.
Hey, it wouldn't surprise me.
Hope Tiller realizes there will be no such delicious dinners for him once he's
BURNING IN HELL!!!!

I assume that photo will push her off the VP short list. I don't know why it would, she is no more devoid of morals than Obama's other close associates.

I would prefer to see Tiller rot in prison for a few decades before he burns in hell.

This is more than just being “pro-choice” - Dr. Tiller the Killer is a true baby killer. This is real baby killing.
He performs the abortion as the rest of the baby has its entire body through the birth canal... Then the brain is sucked out.
He does these surgeries for $5000 a pop.
Ok, so the governor has him as her guest of honor?
How bad is the moral decay here?
I knew the democrats were big on killing babies in the womb but this is going above and beyond the call of duty.
Yours truly,
The Woim

Oh, it’s not a question of morals, it’s a question of marketing.

I would prefer to see Tiller rot in prison for a few decades before he burns in hell. Tiller's still under indictment, so for the governor to be hob-nobbing with someone her Attorney General is about to put on trial is curious to say the least. It'll be interesting to hear her excuse.

How does a man like Tiller, sleep at night? If I did what he did I could not live with myself. He has blood on his hands and he will have alot to answer for on Judgement Day. May The Lord have mercy on his soul, if he has one./Just Asking - seoul62.........
