She could probably serve another decade in the service of India. She could carry on the fight under another flag. Hate to see good warships end like this.

There was discussion about selling/giving the KH to India on this page a few days ago. Someone with firsthand experience suggested this was not a good idea. Even at her age, this carrier still has top secret equipment below decks and even though we're getting to know the Indians better, we just can't risk letting the technology fall into the hands of the unfriendlies.

Longer than that with regular dry dock maintenance. From what I have heard, the Kitty Hawk is in good shape and has had regular dry dock time and upgrades. Unlike the Kennedy that languished in the reserves for 10 years and was largely neglected.
