Will they pay Catholics and Baptists to keep the peace?

Isnt this kind of like hiring the Hells Angels to provide security for the Stones at Altamont?More like hiring the mob to provide security at a Teamster's convention.

"You were kidding? Werent you?"
It would appear the point went over your head. It was a "fox guarding the henhouse" analogy.

From the article:
“Though Miami’s Peacemakers say they will not advocate any religion and are not officially aligned with the Nation of Islam, the Peacemakers’ corporate offices are at the religious group’s Miami mosque.”
Muhammad, who court records show was served in the lawsuit, denied his group even owns any apartments. County property records show multiple Liberty City apartment buildings owned by a Progressive Land Development Group Inc., that lists its business address as the Nation of Islam’s Miami mosque.
‘’That has to be something else,’’ Muhammad said. ``That’s not us.

Yeah, the lights go out and the “trouble maker” is gone when they come back on. I’ve heard the stories. Pretty scary.

It’s a “no go zone”, kinda like Sadr City outside Baghdad.
It needs a military presence.

For a guy with an honest question or objection, it can be an object lesson with extraordinary impact until, that is, enough is enough. That's the part one can never take for granted. When is enough, enough? “You have to ask yourself this question, ‘Are you feelin’ lucky, punk? Well, are you?’” There comes a point in every conflict where that becomes the relevant question.

Its like hiring the Ku Klux Klan to keep the peace in a neighborhood of NAZIs.

I’m thinking VT is right. I thought it was Chicago too. The projects also rang a bell. Perhaps Cabrini Green, but not certain.

Is it black? Hispanic? Immigrants?
I thought Dade County was the worst?

Be interesting to see what happens if the “peacekeepers” happen onto an altercation between a “support the troops” rally, and a bunch of anti-war protesters.
