Back when I used to debate with Moonbats
( I gave up during the Impeachment fiasco )
when I’d hear meme’s like “obscene profits!” or “windfall profits,” I would try to lead them, Socratic-like, to the light... it went something like this:
MB: “Rant, rant, hiss, snarl, Obscene Profits!”
Me: “So, do you work somewhere?”
MB: “Yeah, what’s that got to do with it?”
Me: “Would you go to work every day if they didn’t pay you?”
MB “Ya nuts or sum’thin’? I got bills ta pay!”
Me: “That’s your profit. If the companies don’t take in more than they put out, they go out of business. Fired workers. Dark buildings...”
MB: “So? What’s that got ta do with it? Rant, rant, hiss, snarl, Obscene Profits!”
Got tired of talking to the terminally stupid...
