Still not convinced? Here's one more example. In West Virginia a few weeks ago, Obama said his grandfather enlisted the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, which was December, 1941. [Charleston Gazette (West Virginia) April 8, 2008, Tuesday, available on Lexis.com]

"My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton's army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain.

Here is the WWII Kansas Veterans Index. His grandfather, Stanley A. Dunham, enlisted in the Army on June 18 1942, six months after Pearl Harbor. [Hat tip Baldilocks.)

Can this clown be any more of a drama queen? He changes/embellishes/makes up all these stories for effect, and thinks Americans are too dumb to fact check him. Think again, Barry, sweetie!

I guess as a grandson's memory of his family's folklore goes the six month's after Pearl Harbor doesn't bother me as much as the fact that Obama’s got the wrong motives for telling these stories. He's willing to get in touch with his white family side when it serves his purpose. He's willing to have them heroically end the Holocaust if it gets him Jewish votes. But he's been disdaining those who are fighting the good fight today. Standing up for that cause, a now unpopular one, would show true grit. But instead he wants to ride on his grandpa's military valor for political expediency.

So his grandfather was in the Soviet Red Army? Otherwise, how would he have heard such stories? Those concentration camps were liberated by the Soviets. Keep digging, Barry!

Even worse, I don’t think the lesson he seemed to learn from it is reassuring either. He shows no interest in preventing future death camps, he just wants to make sure those who clean up said death camps get government mental care when they get back. With the obamination that care will probably consist of telling the distraught soldier how the jews “deserved” to be driven into the sea, so don’t feel so bad about seeing their dead bodies.
