If you look at the article, the statement from Obamma’s spokesperson is in quotes. The part about Charlie Payne is from the reporter. It could be just another lazy reporter who did not do his research.

I’ve been checking genealogy records for my family and am amazed at all the misspellings, wrong dates for grandparents births, etc. Records are not always accurate, and it’s very frustrating!

Post 36 of this thread links all of the references including the Chicago Suntimes of the Obama family tree. The only Charles Payne shown in the family tree is "Charles W. Payne". These are two independent sources. The Kansas link shows W. Payne was in the navy.

ALL Americans who serve in WWII liberated the camps. They crushed Nazi Germany. They battled the Fascists in Italy. And they ended Japanese imperialism.

It was a team effort. Not the work of one man or one troop.
