Former Press Secretary Scott McClellan turns against Bush
Los Angeles Times

Posted on 05/28/2008 4:48:04 AM PDT by kelsiejackson

On accepting Scott McClellan's resignation as his press secretary two years ago, President Bush predicted that he and the outgoing aide some day would be "rocking in chairs in Texas and talking about the good old days."

But maybe their days in the White House together weren't so happy after all.

Next week will bring the publication of McClellan's 341-page tome, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception." It is described by Politico's Mike Allen as "surprisingly scathing."

McClellan was pathetic in his presentation style and bush made a terrible mistake in not recognizing this deficiency.

That said, bush has been a diaster by pushing his big gov't liberalism and leading the turn against limited gov't conservatism. Nov elections will be a massive defeat for pubs and reflect what bush has done to Reagan legacy.

Sigh.

Yet another impressive Bush administration “public serpent”.

Must be something in that inside-the-beltway water.

When he does his book tour, and is inevitably asked who he’ll support in November, I wonder who he’ll pick.

This guy's momma ran for Governor against Perry, Bush's boy and got thumped. She comes across as bitter and he was pretty much a joke.

It seems one of Bush's biggest flaws is thinking he can convince everybody to go along with him.

McClellan was always the inside turncoat and that’s why he got booted.

I used to hope everyday that McClellan would be replaced, because the cretin liberal media used to play him like a fiddle and make him look like a fool daily.

It even made me feel sorry for him sometimes.

Not anymore.

He drops from sight with his tail between his legs and now comes back and kisses the same @$$ that used to make him look like a fool.

Whatta Putz....

I don’t understand how anyone, even McDonald’s, could consider hiring Scott in the future knowing every decision made would pass through his notebook for public airing. This smells like a former disgruntled employee taking a few shots about things he wasn’t fully informed about.

Its sickening on how Russert and the MSM talkers are salivating at the statements made by McClellan in the book. I believe this is going to set off a feeding frenzy by the Bush hating MSM that will reverberate the next six months. It won't be McCain in the news, the book will give the left a flag to wave at the Republicans and further destroy any credibility we have left.

I suppose President Bush was responsible for the Randy Cunninghams and all the other crooks in the congress. If they get their a$$es handed to them in Nov. it has far more to do with their own foibles than anything Bush did. They are out of touch and have no plan of action.

Is it interesting that we don’t find any tell all books about the Clinton administration? The people that worked for them are true loyalists. I just don’t understand it.

The death penalty works!

Hmmmmmm, Such timing. I wonder if Scott is in cahoots with Soros?

Moveon.org has a new commercial about President Bush & McCain, and describes them like the "twins" from the Patty Duke Show, The "Bush 3rd term " theory.

Now "deer in the headlights" Scott comes out with a book with some serious accusations. Such timing..

I agree. Let’s wait to see what’s truly in this book before coming to conclusions.
