Chet Edwards, the Democrat who represents Ft. Hood and College Station, home of Texas A&M, runs as a “conservative” every two years. When he’s in D.C., he votes with Nancy Pelosi. This was especially loathsome when he voted to set a surrender date for our troops in Iraq, the very troops from Ft. Hood he “supports”.
This deceptive “snake in the grass” should be kicked out, but hey, he graduated from A&M, and that qualifies him to die of old age in office. It’s a cult thing.

"Conservatives" should know better by now... any vote for any Democrat, from dog catcher all the way up to President, is a vote to advance socialism.

I told individuals living in this area that Childers was a liberal Kool Aid drinking Democrat but the locals bought into Childers good ole' boy ruse. Anyone with a brain could see that Childers was steeped in corruption and was a tax and spend Democrat. I would wager a good amount that when gun control issues are brought before him he will vote with the gun control bloc. The State senator, Eric Powell, from this same district ran as a conservative and expounded the same rhetoric as did Childers, yet his first piece of legislative effort was a major gun control law.

Another way of measuring this is how many and which House democrats co-sponsored the SAVE Act versus how many and which House democrats signed the discharge petition.

Also, in their campaign efforts, notice how they accentuate cultural issues.

The democratic party even has a published strategy on this, that they can unite the cultural populists(R) with the economic populists(D) to create moral populists to elect democrats.

Rep. Charlie Wilson (D-Ohio) a millionaire undertaker, is avowedly pro-life and pro-gun and was considered a moderate conservative as a longtime Ohio state legislator.

Democrat Altmire is going to coast to an easy re-election against a squishy moderate Republican, former Rep. Melissa Hart whom he unseated, and will keep his seat as long as he wants it. Voters in W PA will always choose a socialist Democrat, as long as he campaigns as a social conservative, over a RINO.
