A reader makes an excellent point:
The Clintons repeatedly say, when making their "count Florida and Michigan" argument that 2.3 million voters cast ballots in these States, and Hillary often adds that the 1.7 million turnout in Florida was the highest ever for a Democratic primary. Sounds impressive. But guess what? I compared the number of persons who cast ballots this year in each of the other top ten States to the number of persons who voted for John Kerry in the 2004 general election.

OPERATION CHAOS A SUCCESS
Another one of those "follow the money" things....Obama was pulling in some big bucks...Hillary was forewarned....and reshuffled the deck...holding a couple of aces.
I assume that there were other people on the ballot for state and local offices - that is usually how it happens. If people did not vote - or voted for the other party because of the presidential race rules - they let down their local candidates and did not perform their civic duties. I have no sympathy. I DO think it stinks that the DNC will not give states the right to set their own dates. In Florida the date was set by the legislature and there was not much anyone could do.
The RNC only punished Florida and Michigan by taking half their delegates, not all. If the DNC had followed that policy, they might not be in this mess.
Thanks for the info
