You're both wrong. If you take away the first 30 minutes of Private Ryan (which I will yield is incredible, ground breaking cinema), the rest of the movie is a real stinker. Crummy plot, bad acting.

I would have to agree, Private Ryan really goes down hill after the opening segment; however, that segment is one of the two or three most incredible segment in any movie ever.
