What I want to know is how Israel might extend the range of their F-16's and F-15's, Mr. Wackmadinanutjob may find out soon enough, but I digress....
I have my armchair theories, but as they say loose lips......

Looks like the B-1B is having a little trouble holding position on the inside of that echelon turn. Maybe she’s moving too slow? Or just giving a little separation to stay away from the Buff’s wake turbulence? Or maybe they just caught her in the act of forming up?
Interesting pic.

The Israelis already have the most updated F-15’s and F-16’s around. In some ways they are more flexible than the F-16’s the U.S.A.F.has.
The Isreali planes have fuel Tanks that are blended in with the body of the air craft thereby reducing drag.Unlike the drop tanks we use. I think they are called FAST Packs.
All they need is Tanker support and they are on their way.

They’re called conformal fuel tanks, and we have them too. If we don’t use them it’s probably because they can’t be jettisoned in flight. Our aircraft potentially have to swing between bomber & fighter roles during the same mission. The IDF has a need for long-range strike yet doesn’t field a dedicated bomber airframe. Conformal fuel tanks help them fill that gap. It also allows them to free-up a couple of hardpoints for ordnance.

Yes, staged for launch so it appears, but the ship is not underway. Any navy pilots on board that can talk about air ops when the ship is parked? I was under the impression that what helped with the launch was the forward motion of the ship, or is there launch training with no forward motion. That would be a powerful cat shot to add another 20 to 30 knots.
