I provided that link in response to your question, not because I personally support the Constitution Party.
[The following is personal opinion.]
I -do- agree in large part with the "US Constitution" part of their platform. I'm all for restoring the federal government to the design originally envisioned by the Founders, with a few carefully chosen updates (many of the Amendments above 10 are worthwhile).
The "Christian Gospel as Basis for US Federal Legislation" part, nope. I acknowledge the large part Judeo-Christian moral teachings played in the forming of the Republic, no argument. But it is historically inaccurate to claim that the New Testament was the basis for the Constitution:
This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ...I was raised a Christian, and believe that we can honor and incorporate many of the teachings of the New Testament without having to turn America into a theocracy. The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations...
... and to limit the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries.
Those are, of course, my personal opinions, and your mileage may vary considerably. You are welcome to your opinions.
The Constitution Party platform does make very interesting reading, and I recommend it.
