Amy Proctor has this great video of CNN Talking Heads discussing the fact that on Memorial Day Weekend, Barack Obama in a commencement address never includes Military Service as a noble way to serve your country. In fact he reportedly said, "In a time of war, we need you to work for peace." No less than Bill Schneider - hardly a radical Republican - makes the observation of the omission and calls it "strange" on Memorial Day Weekend.

Obama does not think of our brave men and women who serve in the military when he thinks of ways to serve the country. He has no business being the Commander-in-Chief of this great nation.

Let me add another I’d overlooked until I was reading Bernard Goldstein’s book, “Crazies on the Left, Wimps on the Right”. It has to do with that dispicable ad run by MoveOn.org calling General Petreus General Betray Us. After the brouhaha erupted, Congress held a vote to censure MoveOn for that ad. Hillary had gotten grief from the media for not speaking up on it quickly and she voted with almost all the Democrats to condemn MoveOn. Twenty-five Democrats refused to condemn the ad. Senator Obama refused to vote either way. Apparently he merely voted “Present”. He has a reputation as someone who, from the time he served in the Illinois legislature, of avoiding controversial votes. He seems to be still at it. That will go over well with our international adversaries, having a President who won’t take stands for his constituents.

And who was a founder of Moveon.org? None other than the current Obama Campaign strategist and spokesman, David Axelrod.

You can’t take a stand on something you don’t understand. He’s just another mediocre product of affirmative action, with very hollow credentials who’s spent more time learning how to game the system then becoming genuinely learned.

I’m not sure he has learned to game the system. The impression I get as I read more and more is he has been designated a “golden boy” by powers-that-be, first in Illinois, then the DNC and Soros and much of the media and he is being led by the hand to avoid any minefields of unpopular stands and speak only in generalities. He seems more and more like a Manchurian Candidate, without the brainwashing used on the original hero. He has left no tracks to speak of, either for better or worse. He is also the anti-MLK, wanting to be judged by the color of his skin rather than the content of his character. If he gets into office, we won’t know exactly who is pulling the strings but it won’t be Obama.

That’s fine for Marxists and Socialist, but in a capitalist society, we actually want people who invent things, work producing something other than reams of unreadable regulations, and create wealth.

It will be interesting to see how the gaffe machine extricates himself from this obvious insult to the military. Leftists are never more dangerous to their own interests than when they accidentally tell the truth about who they really are and what they really believe. I wouldn’t expect to see any of this too heavily analyzed on the evening news! The MSM will cover for their boy once more. Have to wonder if they can cover fast enough and deep enough to put him in the White House.
