It doesn't look good for Barr unless he gets most ot Wayne Allen Root's votes. Mike Gravel's votes will go to Mary Ruwart, she seems other than his big government positions she is more in line with Gravel.

Do ANY of the Lib candidates disagree with Barr by AGREEING with Bush on so-called “warrantless wiretaps” (which aren’t taps ... just the phone #s involved and the duration of the calls ... but anyway) of calls with at least one end in a foreign country?

I believe Mary Ruwart is going on the floor telling people Bob Barr is not to be trusted on drug war, former CIA and being a prosector, Defense of Marriage Act.

She was saying very little about Mike Gravel’s socialism big gov’t on the economic side, but he never was in the top 4.

I am mildly interested. I think the best anti-leftist vote this time is McCain, pew, but someday I may have to vote Libertarian.

Look, with many conservatives not happy with McLame. Plus having Bob Barr, former Republican Congressman and former Senator Gravel in the running makes this not a bunch of unknowns.

I never heard of this Mary Ruwart person before. Hopefully, she can knock Barr out of contention. Not that I’m voting for McCain, it’s just that I’d rather see McCain fare against Obama head-up with no 3rd party candidates, so the RNC can’t blame the “Losertarians” for causing McCain to lose.

Unfortunately, most voters can't tell Bob Barr from a candy bar;)

Is there a national conservative party in the US? If not, why not?

Well, it is more conservative than some. It is less conservative than others.

Sadly enough this is what the GOP is becoming and a conservative is just not in the cards, just ANYONE who can win politically for the party.

Da is too buzy sucklin' the GOP, thinking the GOP will suddenly turn conservative.

There is, you can go to http://baldwin2008.com/index.php.

Bob Barr is in 2nd place 6 votes behind on the 5th ballot. But 3rd place Wayne Allen Root just emplored a BARR/ROOT ticket.

This should help alot. But nothing is guaranteed because the Libertarians don’t like to be told what to do by anyone, including someone they supported.

Well, I’m not doing it for the party. I’m doing it to keep an even more ruinous administration out of office. JMO

“Is there a national conservative party in the US? If not, why not?”-

Yes there is, its called “The Republican Party.” It was founded in 1854. The problem is that its lost its ideological way at the moment. That’s happened before. It will find its way again with new leadership.
