Yah,

What wanna-be Republican needs the Religious Conservative base to support them in an election like this.

McNutjob has plenty of independents, moderates and Liberals supporting him to cancel out our not showing up at the polls for him.

In all fairness:

I can’t watch TV preachers, I don’t care who they are. Sermons bore me to tears, dialogue is much more interesting, and TV time is expensive- it drives people to do questionable things for fundraising.

But his last book is pretty impressive. He’s a very intelligent guy.

>>But I’ve never run into anyone who actually admits to following them.

In the late-80s, during the prime time of the fall of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, I walked into the office one morning and entered a conversation that was going on, and made a comment along the lines of “hoo-hah! How about the Jim and Tammy Faye show!?”

Our receptionist at the time was probably mid-40s, big bouffant, divorcee. She lit into me big time!

“You have no right to say anything, they do so much good in the world, blah, blah, blah.”

Shocked the heck out of me, but she was obviously a big fan.

>>In other words, he would have made a marvelously successful politician.

Probably more money in what he’s doing, and less chance of some sort of ethics prosecution.

Pastor’s who issue political endorsements should be asked what their purpose is? Are they our modern day Pharisee?

What are they rendering to Cesear’s alter or God’s alter?

http://ll.newsforchristians.com/sermons/sermon009.html

Or as this sermon points out is their purpose evil? A trick being used on God’s people, much like the Pharisees?

Now, does McCain look so dumb for refusing their endorsement?

I can't think of a profession with less chance for an ethics investigation than most politicians risk. The elites are next to immune from such inane goings on. Such is left to us peons and underlings. Parsley is a stinking heap of dung, and those who literally “buy” in to his constant fund-raising ploys are hopeless fools.

I turned off my television in 1992. Sometime around then, he came across as a typical, if a pouty, gospel-huckster. I never said he was not intelligent; and I don't hold "sophistication" to be synonymous with "intelligent." He was a few degrees less effeminate than the Benny Hair.

He's a media machine, like the rest.

“Even Catholics that think protestant preachers are all money grubbing fakes have trouble when the pope says something that isn’t vanilla. This pope hasn’t been here very long and has already ruffled feathers a couple of times.”

Wow. It didn’t take long before the gratuitous slam at the Catholic Church reared its head. Congrats.

Parsley has criticized Islam, calling it inherently violent and saying it is “the anti-Christ religion.”

Makes sense to me.

So McCain is looking for pastors that believe Islam is a peaceful religion, the Koran is filled with nothing but love and respect for Jews, and it is as it says the only true religion in the world.

McCain should go to CAIR and get endorsements from them......... of course he'd have to pledge that he would stand against Israel, talk to terrorist organizations, and end any fighting against terrorists.

Here's my take on TV preachers. If you're on TV at all, you're questionable. If you own a private jet (as Parsley does), you're a money grubbing shyster.

Does he wear a toupee?

“Parsley is a schmuck.”

So Islam IS a religion of love, peace and tolerance?

“but Parsley is a conniving thief”

If I ask you for your money, and you give it to me freely, how am I a thief?

“So the private jet fits into the picture, how?”

So McBackstabber dropped this Pastor because he had a private jet?

So do I but when you throw in with the likes of McBackstabber....it’s going to happen at some point.

You need to get a new word or two. Backstabber has been over used this morning.

McCain is the nearest thing there will be to a conservative. You Bitcons must restudy the field and learn that you either vote for him or throw away your vote.

A vote for a third party or no vote is a vote for hillary/obama.
