Very well said, chuckles.

And to those of you who are upset with these guys because they have money: Hagee NEVER solicits funds on TV, and he’s written many books. It’s likely some of the wealth you resent comes from those book proceeds.

Parsley DOES solicit funds on his TV programs, usually for specific humanitarian programs his ministry funds. But he has been tireless in his efforts to bring relief to the oppression of people in many areas of Africa, for several years now, and has actively lobbied Congress (and recruited his viewers to, as well) to rally against any pro-abortion legislation.

Both men definitely preach against radical Islam, homosexuality and abortion. And both are extremely pro-Israel in their views and in their speech. So no wonder the MSM is after them. Either guy would be a much better president than John McCain, but we take what we can get.

Preachers need money to preach the message via radio, television etc, I see nothing wrong with that.

So the private jet fits into the picture, how?

Never seen this Parsley guy, can’t really say anything about him pro or con (though being a televangelist is a black mark right off the bat), but this is getting ridiculous. More pointless political posturing from the Washington class.

I can't stand McCain, but IMHO, no man of the cloth, be it a Catholic priest, a minister, Mike Huckabee, a rabbi, or an imam should ever be President.

I am shocked at the reaction here. I love Rod Parsley. I watch his show on TBN every morning at 7:00. He is a good decent man who tries to feed the poor in Africa and tries to save unborn babies.

Hagee is a good man too. I hate to see 2 good men torn down just because of politics.

Remember Jesus told His followers that the world would persecute them. In fact, He said to rejoice when it happened, as it would be sharing His sufferings and would be rewarded.

I just hope Hagee and Parsley will stay true to the Lord and not bow to the politcally-correct nonsense of the world.

Parsley is a sage.

*groan*

Anyway... is this Parsley fellow supposed to be someone important? Because I'd never heard of him before, not even during the thyme I lived in Columbus.

Yeah, I’ll admit I don’t follow evangelical preachers much. I never heard of either of these guys before this. Dennis Prager, who I respect very much, had a pretty impassioned defense of Hagee the other day. It sounds like he got railroaded by Obama sympathizers in the media looking for a McCain “equivalent” to Obama’s Rev. Wright problem.

that isn’t enough for me, sorry.

Franklin Graham has been there -

So did one of my all time favorites, Pastor E.V. Hill -
So I would prefer to see doctrinal issues, not the company they keep issues. TBN is often the only “religious” channel on cable systems.

I watched and enjoyed watching tv pastors because my children were too sick to go to church. They are with the Lord now, but I still enjoy watching tv pastors.

Just for the record: I have never endorsed Juan McCain for POTUS, but if I have ever inadvertantly given the impression that I supoort his sorry a**, please allow me to make it clear that I withdraw said mistaken impression immediately and unequivocably. Period.

As for Parsley, he is just another in a long line of charlatans out to make a buck, or several million of them, off the ignorance of the great unwashed masses. In other words, he would have made a marvelously successful politician.

1. Your arrogance is insufferable.

2. You don't know what the hell you're talking about.

3. There's no such word as “unequivocably”.

Wrong, chuckles...

Some will vote the lesser of three evils, some will stay home and some will vote for Baptist minister Chuck Baldwin of The CP.

What a mistake. Talk about shysters. The CP is a total fraud. I was once sucked in by them, too. They sounded so good but my eyes were opened when I heard their radio ads before the elections of 2000 and 2004.

Their ads were against Bush, not Gore or Kerry. They were doing their very best to elect Gore and Kerry.

These thieves took my money and used it against the very things in which I believe.

They know full well, they'll never be elected to anything and they don't want to be. They're cowards. They don't want to have to be able to back up anything they say. They'd have to be open to scrutiny like other elected politicians and be held accountable.

If anyone thinks TV preachers are thieves, the CP is in the same category.
