Worries In GOP Of Disarray In McCain Camp
NY Times (via MSNBC.com) ^ | 24 May 2008 | Adam Nagourney

WASHINGTON - Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign is in a troubled stretch, hindered by resignations of staff members, a lagging effort to build a national campaign organization and questions over whether he has taken full advantage of Democratic turmoil to present a case for his candidacy, Republicans say.

In interviews, some party leaders said they were worried about signs of disorder in his campaign, and if the focus in the last several weeks on the prominent role of lobbyists in Mr. McCain’s inner circle might undercut the heart of his general election message: that he is a reformer taking on special interests in Washington.

Well, they can't have the circular firng squad that's occurruing amongst Democrats, without trying to diminish it by drawing false comparisons with the Republicans. We're having our differences, but they're nothing compared to the intra-Democrat hatred going on over Obama and Hillary. But the Old grey Whore and assorted liberal media can't stand that. So they'll be trumping up stories like this to reassure tha 'rats.

McCain has the personality of a stump. They should be worried. I will gladly take another 4 years of President Bush.

I’ve been thinking that McCain’s greatest accomplishment should he be elected is that he’d make W look good.

Travis - Great caption, still laughing.

Re: “Travis McGee”

I grew up and worked just blocks away from the Bahia Mar Yacht Basin, where Travis docked “The Busted Flush.”

Haven’t been back to Lauderdale since 1984, so I probably wouldn’t recognize a thing.

Normally, I wouldn’t trust Adam Nagourney any farther than I could kick him. But he does name quite a few sources, and frankly this is pretty much the impression I have of McCain’s poor choice of campaign handlers.

Carly Fiorino is a typically bad choice, or that Mexican shill, whose name escapes me.

One guy fired from the campaign says that McCain is fearful of having any lobbyists working for him, for fear that he’ll be accused of corruption. I suspect the problem with that is that no one works in the political arena long, and makes it his profession, who isn’t a lobbyist, at one time or another. In other words, he may be eliminating all the real pros.

Good grief. I doubt whether Obama will worry about having lobbyists working for him.

We might have crossed paths down there. I lived on a boat for a while in Lauderdale, behind Hendricks Isle off of Las Olas Blvd. I passed by Bahia Mar, Sunrise, 17th Street etc all of the time.

But I wouldn’t recognize it either today, they tell me.

I feel the same way. Duncan Hunter will get my write in vote.

My dad, a democrat, told me the other day that he will sit out this election. That would be a first for him. He is 76.

Not much of a choice for either side.

As a UPS driver, can you get the skinny on what lawn signs and bumper stickers are seen in Dearborn?

Carly Fiorino is a typically bad choice, or that Mexican shill, whose name escapes me.

This is the man John McCain chose to be his "Hispanic Outreach Director." Juan Hernandez is a self-certified traitor. Born in Dallas, he decided as an adult to become a dual-national Mexican citizen. His last "real" job was serving on Mexican President Vicente Fox's cabinet as his "American Reconquista Director." After that gig ran out, he worked (sic) for George Soros funded internationalist foundations, like the one that published his new book.

The "New American Pioneers" proclaimed in his book are the illegal alien invaders he urges to become settlers in the USA. Hernandez believes all Mexicans and Mexican-Americans in the USA should become dual citizens and consider themselves Mexicans first, "to the 8th generation." He believes there should be no border at all between Mexico and the USA, ever.

And this is the man McCain chose for his "Hispanic Outreach Director." When McCain was asked about this choice, he said he chose Hernandez because he agrees with his positions. If so, McCain is supporting invasion and reconquista.

Then I read our Constitution, Article 4 Section 4, where it says the federal government MUST protect the states from invasion, and I can only conclude one thing: John McCain is a new Benedict Arnold.

"In his own words: McCain’s radical Hispanic outreach director Juan Hernandez on youtube"

The GOP has a heck of a lot more to worry about that John McCain’s campaign organization. LOSERS!!!!!

I think I’ll join Sean Hannity and change my registration to Independent.

That's cool.

My dad owned a 1950’s vintage motel and some apartments near that area.

Incredibly, even though I saw the Sinatra Travis McGee movies, I had never heard of the books.

Some guy from South Carolina had to tell me about John D. MacDonald!
