Good for her! What a nice thing to do. Sounds like they enjoyed it.

Grandpa, tell me ‘bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like
This world’s gone crazy
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn’t seem so hazy
(Chorus)
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me ‘bout the good old days
Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call it progress
But I just don’t know
And Grandpa, let’s wander back into the past
And paint me the picture
Of long ago
Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say and then forget?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Oh, Grandpa, tell me ‘bout the good old days
Oh, Grandpa, tell me ‘bout the good old days
“Grandpa Tell Me About The Good Old Days” Ringtone

Wynonna is a great vocalist. I’m glad the soldiers got to see her perform.

What a beautiful song - I get tears in my eyes whenever I hear it. The Judds are from my hometown, and they are as nice in person as they are on stage.

One of my favorite Christmas carols. I love Wynonna!
A little off topic but I was listening to Beck this morning and he was doing a Memorial Day tribute and played this Trace Adkins song (Arlington.) I went looking for it on youtube because I’d never heard it before...very fitting for Memorial Day.

Heard one or actually part of one today, I couldn’t finish listening, it really tore me up. Something along the line of “if I die before you wake”. Can’t listen to that Tim McGraw song either.
