BRANDON, South Dakota (CNN) Hillary Clinton said Friday she regretted comments that evoked the June 1968 assassination of Robert Kennedy as part of her explanation for why she was staying in the presidential race late into the primary season.
"Earlier today, I was discussing the Democratic primary history and in the course of that discussion mentioned the campaigns that both my husband and Senator Kennedy waged in California in June in 1992 and 1968, and I was referencing those to make the point that we have had nominating primary contests that go into June. That's an historic fact, she told reporters.
The Kennedys have been much on my mind in the last days because of Senator [Ted] Kennedy, and I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and particularly for the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever, she added.

She doesn't want to reinforce the connection. But she's making it worse, because that's what everybody's talking about. And they know she knows. Pwah!
“Ted Kennedy comes out for Obama and suddenly he has a maligant brain tumour?”
That’s right! Hillzilla has that toxic glare, and she was probably sitting directly behind The Swimmer at some senate meeting, eyes fixed directly on the back of his head....
Just as the muzz are terrified of the death hair rays from uncovered (headwise) Israeli women, The Swimmer and his entourage should fear the evil death glare.
When is she going to get serious and truly apologize for her husbands actions during his tenure?
False prophet perhaps?
And they are lambasting Savage for playing "California Uberallis" which was a platform for him to discuss the Stalin like tactics of the new left?
The hypocrisy is stunning as usual.
I do not think any of the takers mentioned have ever made a reference like Hilda did, what she said was downright scary whether it was a Freudian Slip or not.
See post 74? Been seeing/hearing dozens like that the last few weeks. FReepers and conservative radip people ‘admiring’ Hillary. Ingraham even said it on Fox the other night while filling in for O’Reilly. She calls her “Mrs. Clinton” now.
this was not an accident nor a mispeak...this was a threat when the least amount of folks would hear it except for those that matter.
Unbelievable....
the comment was very calculated and very pointed at obama and the kennedys.
“The Short Dump That She is”
Her Buttocks are Wider than She is Tall!
Her Pant Suits Make Her Butt Look Humongeous!
She should FIRE Her fashion designer, she would
would look better in WalMart off the racks!!!!
1) The media (CNN in particular) is deliberatly trying to blow this up.
2) Clinton can't believe how the media have turned on her.
3) We have yet another thing that we're not allowed to talk about around Obama
4) EVERY item they discuss on CNN is a lie. I haven't seen CNN in years, but it is absolutely astounding how much disinformation they are spewing.
I pray for our republic....
I was going to say “DUCK!!! SNIPER!!!” in response to your picture, but then I’d probably have to apologize or something.
In addition, Hillary either does not understand herself or she is having a hard time concealing her primary motivation. Like most big name politicians, she has a strong and obvious "will to power." This "will to power" is not just winning and dominating but the real payoff is the will itself.
Further it is hard to explain but she, like many other successful people, has a basic morality where what is good for them is good and what is bad for them is bad. jThey conceal this beneath a facade of Christian or secular morality. This more basic morality is contingent on the drive to excel, succeed, create and influence--this is what Nietzsche called the "will to power."
So far--Hillary and Barack--are fighting a moral rather than a policy war with Barack having the advantage being black--just what Geraldine Ferraro said.
Naw. Snipe season opens in June apparently.
“This seems to be the Year of the Apology.”
It’s the Era of the Apology, because ever since the sixties, being offended or outraged by something or someone is just oh, so socially acceptable, the thing to do etc.
That they are tiresome whiners never seems to occur to them because after all they are the center of the universe and they have their rights ... duties, responsibilties and obligations? Not so much.
I love it!
I guess that we need to do a bit of tweekin' here:
Well then, they'd feel right at home again.
I don’t think she could have made a worse remark.
